You know, I'm really forgetful, like really forgetful sometimes.

But you know, I'm not shoving my armpits in random peoples faces so I don't care.

P.S Men with no hair are very unattractive. Keep it ffs.

I hate body hair enough on myself, let alone my partners. There is no section of hair on my body I don't trim, shave, or generally keep an eye on. If society deemed I had to shave everything off, I'd totally go for it. Hell, the only reason I don't is because I hate being itchy.

When it comes to partners though, I don't like long hair around the genital region. Shaved is preferable, but trimmed is fine: less to do with looks but more ease. If I'm going to be sticking my face into someone's crotch, then I don't want to be tickled/itched by hair.

My wife has never shaved, and I've never felt the need to ask her to.

I feel that people really shouldn't change their bodies for anyone but themselves. If you want to shave because you prefer to look that way, go for it, otherwise, don't bother. It rarely matters what other people think, and the few times it does, you can always cover up. When it comes to sex, people who like their partners to look like a natural adult aren't as rare as society makes out.

so i welcome it if she is well-trimmed (not necessarily completely "naked" "down there"; then she looks like a little girl, and i feel like a pedophile... thanks, but no, thanks)
So you prefer you women to look like they're 13-14, with a small amount of hair, rather than 11-12, with none?
That's okay then...

I keep my head hair, pubic hair, and facial hair in check, that is it about it. I have a naturally hairless chest and back so no worries about looking like chewbacca. I expect woman to manage their hair as well. I won't hold it against you if you don't, just don't be surprised when I don't invite you over for the night.

I honestly do not mind hair, as long as it's clean and trimmed. So leg hair, arm hair all good. but great big bushes of hair are a bit over the top. Especially in the "HotSpots" It would be very hypocritical to force ladies to shave arms and legs, when I am gradually increasing my likeliness of a bear everyday. Hell, I dislike entirely shaved bodies. It creeps me out.

If there's an advantage of a long-distance relationship it's that I'm under no pressure to stay hair-free. When I'm with my boyfriend I shave all areas, when I'm not, I don't bother. I keep it clean so there's no issues there. However, when I'm out in public, I feel pressurised to remove all hair in view. I rarely wear anything other than jeans so I tend to leave my legs alone (unless going out requires me to wear a skirt or dress) but shave the 'pits if I wear anything t-shirt or less. No fucker out there is looking at my lady garden so why should I bother?

My boyfriend has as much or little hair as he wants, it doesn't really affect me either way.

I've got very hairy legs, but as it stands in my life I'm single and I generally don't give a about how I look for someone else save that I'm happy with how I look. Usually I wear long pants anyway so it's not like anyone notices. If I plan to go out to a public pool or whatnot I 'might' shave beforehand, it pretty much depends on my mood.
My armpits are generally a thing I'd shave after taking a shower since its not much of a hassle and it just feels a lot cleaner. All the other excessive hairs are up for debate once I've liberated myself from the loner's life.. sniff.

Also, YEEY facial hair - beards are awesome! > NOT UP FOR DEBATE, EVER.

I trim my pubic and underarm hair regularly, but never shave it all off.
I just feel cleaner when it's shorter.

When it comes to my facial hair it varies, sometimes I like it to be kept clean, sometimes I like to grow it.

Male here. I can tolerate a bit of hair in the pubic region. I won't even say anything about hairy arms. Hairy armpits, legs and a pubic forest are total turnoffs (I don't give much of a damn about double standards).

Of course, I shave my face, but I intentionally leave a goatee because without that, I would look weird. In the event I do get a girlfriend and she requests I shave other parts of my body, then sure, I'd do it (provided she help me with the areas I can't reach).

Interesting results. Male voters mostly voted for it being too much of a hassle.

And it is. Too much of a hassle for me and I hate this social norm that forces me to do it. The amount of time and money I spent, and the amount of pain it caused, makes me wonder why am I putting up with it, but then I realize that I have enough body issues and don't need another one to be mocked about. And yeah, it does look nice. In my opinion, on men too.

However, I didn't vote, because in a way, I do it because I like it, but also because I am forced to. My biggest problem is the fact that I have a sensitive skin, and absolutely no method of shaving suits me. Nothing goes without irritating my skin to the point where my whole legs or armpits (or the bikini zone) hurts. I somehow deal with legs, but armpits and the bikini zone are a torture. Whatever I do, I just end up with an irritated skin that I have to scratch and that hurts and looks pretty much as horrible as hair. The only thing I haven't tried yet are LASERS and I'm on the brink of trying it, despite the enormous amounts of money I'd have to spend. But after that, the hair is gone forever!

I'd like if it would be socially acceptable for me not to do it when I don't feel like and for people not to mock other people if they want to keep their hair on various places (or remove it, in case of men who are called "sissies" or "pansies" if they do it).

I shave my face, simply because I'm still in the Billy Goats Gruff stage and cannot grow a proper beard yet. Everywhere else, no.

As for women, I prefer shaved everywhere bar the 'funzone'(and head, obviously), where as long as it's not too bad I don't really care either way(of course I'm totally experienced with this part >_> ).

Double standards, perhaps. But I like what I like. *shrug*

I'm a male and I absolutely hate body hair. It may or may not be because I was the first one to get it in my class as a child. Or maybe it's just because I can't get behind the idea of having striped arms and Hobbit feet.

More importantly, I don't want to imagine cuddling with a woman with hairy legs, so I could never ask her to bear with mine. So I shave.

Furthermore, it's not just about the looks. After walking with pants on my legs would feel worn out because it's like walking with sandpaper around my legs. And wiping my hairy bum is pure torture. Body hair is simply in the god damn way.

Well personally, being male, I already keep most of my bodyhair and pubes neatly trimmed in a reasonably short uniform length. That's my personal preference, it just looks a lot neater and cleaner, but without the massively irritated skin from shaving.

I guess if my girlfriend shaved her legs/pubes/armpits and she really really wanted me to shave my chesthair/armpits, then yeah, sure, I'd probably do it. Fair enough. If she wants my chest to be smooth in the morning, like sandpaper in the evening (yes it grows that fast), and a big bloody mess the next day when I shave again, that's fine by me. I can't imagine she'd like it, but hey, relationships are all about doing that little bit of extra effort to please eachother, right?

I won't shave my legs though. End of discussion. And if she threatens to stop shaving her genitals until I do (or some other wretched woman mindtrick), well hey, guess who won't go down on her until she does. Double standards are a good thing.
