So... if the gravity gun at the end of hl2 became super-powerful... then what do you imagine might happen to a portal gun? Could it go back in time? Surely the best way for Gordon to stop the Combine would be to stop the original experiment... i.e. the final boss is... Gordon Freeman at Black Mesa!

No, this creates various paradoxes and there is about a bazillion better ways to end the game.

Besides, there's no point in going back in time. The Combine have been crippled. Humans can now reproduce, which they do like bunnies. The portal was closed up, so now the Combine can't come back in.. All that's left to do is finish the remaining ones off.

I'm thinking that the Borealis itself is the final boss. Basically, you and Alyx have to destroy the Borealis from the inside, while the ship itself tries to stop you.

I'll let Valve make this work.

I serverly doubt that the G-Man is or has any relation to freeman in any way shape or form. Yet you find that he has a dark past and was once known to be named Yahtzee. Due to talking so fast he withered his lungs away. The Escapist has payed him so well, he bought himself a suit but because he lost his job, that's the only item of clothing he has left. His hair grew grayer as the years past by and he shaved off his facial hair for crack. He holds in his suitcase all his personal posesions; 2 candles, 1 pen, 4 feathers from a flightless bird and 1 cup of instant soup powder mix. And the telepoting thing, Yahtzee can do that already. So you fight Yahtzee AND the G-Man cause they're the same guy!!
