tbh, I probs will replay but not solely because of the achievements, though they might factor into it.

I was actually planning on playing through Half-Life 2 anyway; strangely, I was going to start within a matter of minutes when I realised that achievements had been added. This is one of the wonderful coincidences ever!

I have the PS3 version so I get no achievements/trophies. But if I had the PC version I would probably replay it just to see which ones I get from playing through how I normally do.

I've been playing it through just to see how it looks with the new graphics stuff, and possibly check for bugs. Alyx and the Vorts look so shiny compared to everything else now. And I reported/confirmed a few bugs.

Also, did anyone else notice an extra, locked chapter after "Dark Energy"? Because I did, and after that Portal retcon I'm very curious...

Ooooh boy, now it's going to be the 4th time I ran through that game.

EDIT: What? No achievement for throwing the deactivated Rollermine through the basketball hoop in Black Mesa East? How could they?!?

I had the Xbox360 version of The Orange Box and, while I beat Half Life 2, I didn't see what the others see that makes it such a great game. I had more fun with TF2 and Portal. I haven't replaced it when I switched to the PS3 though. I didn't feel any need to do so

Credits I think.

WTF are achievements good for on the PC?

You mention it to any other PC gamer and you'll get laughed at for coming across as an console peasant...0o

I was a right dumbass a couple of months ago. I'd heard about the 'one free bullet' achievement, but not about how the PC only has achievements for Episode Two.
So, I played through the whole game with such boundaries in place, and got a nasty shock when I completed it..
I want my achievement!

I did get little rocket man though. That was a tiring day.

I have no interest in Achievements...

But I still play HL2 every now and then, anyway, so my answer is yes!

I've been meaning to replay all of the Half Life 2 games for awhile, seeing as I lost all of my save files when I bought a new computer. So I probably will yes.

I do quite like the achievements in Team Fortress 2 though, they encourage you to be more creative!

Probably not, I never found HL2 that great in the first place, to be honest.

Aside from Ravenholm. I love that level.

I had it on the original Xbox and again with the Orange Box (and got all the achievements for it), so I have no need to get it for the PC.

Not forgetting that I must have completed it around 6 times since it's release date.

I loved that level so much. Easily the best part of the game.

Steam Achievement are the most pointless kind.

Hell no.

I beat it twice. I'm never playing it a third time.

Now...Episode 2. I fucking love Episode 2. I played that 4-5 times.

I'm an achievement nerd. It's possible I will. I mean, it's a great game anyway so I'm always just a thin excuse from playing as it is.

Don't have it yet but I've been meaning to get The Orange Box through Steam for a very long time now. This just means I'll be even more annoyed at my lack of funds so far... :p
