Poll: Halo 3, best in series?

I think the first one is the best. Everything about it was great. The multiplayer, the story, and the action were all top-notch (and still are, for the most part). While the game wasa quickly overshadowed by #2 and 3, and nowdays by the likes of MW2 and Gears of War, the game is still awesome.

Hell no. Halo Combat Evolved had the best single player and Halo 2 had the best Multiplayer.

halo 3 is definatelly the best in the series. it has more maps, better maps, better guns, more players and is generally all around better.

i dont even get why people prefer halo 2. halo 2 was the first halo game i ever played and i loved it, especially the multiplayer, but then halo 3 came out and blew it away. in my eyes it is lots better.

(yes i know a lot of people prefer halo 2 and thats alright, dont argue with me about halo 3 being better, it's my opinion and you arent going to change it.)

I don't think it's the best, that would be one, it was not focused on single player like in the first and it's not focused on multiplayer like in two. now, children, is why we got flame shields last week.(grabs it and sits in a corner)

By the way, Halo is up there with Twilight and MW2 for flamebait. this probably won't last long.

This. I suggest investing in a flame shield, or common sense.

And as I've said before
Combat Evolved had the best campaign (Sans Library)
Halo 2 had the best multiplayer maps.
Halo 3 had the best multiplayer gameplay
ODST had the most interesting story and (gasp!) likable characters.

Between Halo 3 and ODST, at first glance they look pretty much the same to me, but one must be better than the other and I can't figure out which. Is ODST really worth getting while I wait for REACH?

OT: I would say Halo 3 since firefight was eh, but multiplayer in Halo 3 is sweet.
