Ok I confess I enjoyed Halo 1-3, they weren't the best games of all time, but I had fun while I was playing them. That said, each installment of the Halo franchise gets worse, and I'm afraid that with each consecutive release the franchise will become further and further removed from the Halo CE days of actually being afraid to fight elites and fleeing instead of slaying the flood.

Halo 3 was the end of it, lets move on and play something else lads.

Well I must say that Halo 3 sucks. It has nice online but I find that best online FPS is CoD4.

New game should be called: Halo 4: The HYPE. Or Halo 4: Enter The Hype.

Recon is bit too much, but what do you expect.

Halo Wars is a desperate and unsightly plea to reach into our pockets, it was too far.

A 4th Halo would not only (probably) suck but it would drag down the series so that in future no one will say "Remember Halo?", they will say "I wish I could forget Halo".


So no, Halo 3 is where they should have stopped.

I only played 1 & 2. Coz i don't have a 360 to play 3. Really im not too fussed about the game but part of me inside still wants to know what happens in Halo 3 just for the storyline's sake.

P.S. No Spoilers!! don't tell me, i'll find out when i manage to get a 360.

tarnish the whole series? 2 and 3 tarnished 1 and as far as im concerned Halo 4 is just milking that wonderful cashcow and i for one would never buy it, no matter how good it LOOKED

Bungie aren't making any Halo titles after Recon, and that's fine with me. If another studio wants to make another Halo game at some point, good for them. I'll have to wait and see how it reviews to see if it's worthwhile, but I can live without one.

All I can say is, look what happened with Tomb raider. The first two, and arguably the third also, were good. then you had two or three shit ones. Now we have three new generation Tomb Raiders (Legend, Anniversary and Underworld) which all are, or look like they could be winners (Underworld could still suck, though the demo is good). Don't write off a series, because sometimes there is still fun to be had in an established universe. My fingers are crossed for Recon to be the breath of fresh air that was Legend, rather than the stagnant experience that wasd The Last Revelation.

Given how steeply the halos fun and playability have diminished, I would hope they let the series retire rather than milk it for more quick cash.

They are fun to play and if the fanboys would shut up it would be even more fun.
