November 15, 2001 this game hit the shelves, and when it did, it engaged us in the last battle the Pillar of Autumn would ever see, and left us saddened and disheartened at our loss, facing unknown odds and trials, isolated far from any hope or help, and we're clueless to what it is that our feet tread upon, and this is but the first step to a very long journey. having journeyed to the abyss and back myself, I feel it almost necescary to say that this was and is my absolute favorite piece of the journey, but I'm curious to hear your oppinions.

As much as this pains me to say it, and you all know it pains me a lot. I did enjoy Halo: CE very much.

Solid game, but really repetitive level design. Toward the 3/4th mark, I could hardly stand the sight of corridor after corridor.

I should also note that the customization/additions of the PC version made the overall experience with Halo: CE much more enjoyable my second time through. And, yeah, the online is still really fun.

I only played the 360 Halos. I will say I preferred Reach amongst the 360 ones.

Halo was good, but Halo 2 was better.
And Halo 3 was better then both of them.

When I played Halo CE, I had a love hate relationship.

On one hand it was awesome.

On another hand, it glitched out near(?) the end where you have to walk into those beams and disrupt it with your suit. It wouldn't let me go into one of the banshees required to get up to one of the beam things.

Halo : Combat Evolved. I only played the Multi-player demo which featured Blood Glutch, though. And I've never even touched Halo 2.

3 was easily the worst. I like 1 and 2 equally but I have to put 1 on top because it felt allot newer and more mysterious, also reach is awesome

Reach is the best one in my opinion. But I do love the first one for nostaligia's sake.

That's your opinion, and so be it. It doesn't change mine, so I plan on continually saying that 3 was my favorite.

I loved the first one, it's campaign was very fun and lengthy, and was barrels of fun when I first got it on my XBox.

However, compared to Halo 2, there could've been a vast number of improvements.

So it's like this: I like CE the most, but I do love Halo 2 a lot.

I've not played Reach yet but I enjoyed ODST the most. I thought it was a very interesting game, the switching narrative worked well, the music was great, it was very atmospheric and it had three Firefly cast members.

I only played Combat Evolved. Yes it changed console FPS gaming but it didn't innovate much by PC standards. It started out great but once you started going backwards through levels and it was the same same same same same....boring. The ending left me interested in continuing the story of Master Chief, but 2 was a shitty port and I didn't feel like buying a console for one game, so I have no idea what happened after the first game. Oh well.

ODST is interesting.
I don't like it that much but ill probably finish it eventually.
I really want to play Reach.

The first halo game was the only game I've went through and finished on normal, hard, and legendary - and it got easier as I went. A great game, somewhat marred by the flood - and easily a defining example of the FPS genre (I actually didn't think this at first, but it added some things that have become ubiquitous in FPS games since - and for what it's worth, it really does eagerly try and tell you a story, more than can be said for a lot of FPS games that are content just to fling the 2nd world war at you. Again. Plus, I'll never forget being dropped off at that beachead in the silent cartographer opening. Big goddamn dropships moment alright.

Halo 2 is the best in my opinion. But, that's mostly because it was the first XBox game I'd played, and because of the fond memories of messing around with my friends in a warthog on the single player campaign.
