There's 50 other shooters coming out this year with regenerating health and limited weapons capacity.

One Fallout.
This man is right.

You should buy 50 shooters.
Actually, I'll probably just buy five or six of them.

-crysis 2
-rage
-fear 3
-bulletstorm
-medal of honor or black ops...maybe?

=P

Hmmm... none of them really deserves support. Buy something more original instead. But if I had to choose I would definetly choose Fallout: New vegas.

Fallout: New Vegas.

I like Halo, but not enough. Hopefully New Vegas will be just enough like Fallout 3 that I will enjoy it.

The toss up around that time for me will really be between New Vegas and Fable 3. Hopefully I will actually have enough scratch to pick them both up...

I'd go with New Vegas, because I didn't like Halo that much in the first place and also I like the RPG elements that Fallout has implemented not just plain boring FPS.

your bound to get tons of bias in this thread..especially on the escapist, most people here are diehard fallout fans and think halo is mostly a piece of shit..

so on topic anyways, id say if your getting both eventually, which is what im assuming, go with reach first, as fallout new vegas is bound to be glitchy and whatnot at first, and they will patch that all up and have some decent dlc to download by the time ou can buy that im sure, while halo reach is that multiplayer and honestly i think its important to be in games like those from the start so you dont start behind and end up being the "noob" who can't keep up with the cheese strategies and whatnot.

but hey your choice, oranges and apples man if your getting both

Which is strange considering most posts in this thread(Exception of two) that have been anti-halo have been simply "meh-Just not that into Halo" which makes it seem to be Like Reach is a strong suit this year.

Or perhaps I'm looking at it wrong.

On-topic: I'm going to say Halo: Reach for the simple fact I don't know enough about New Vegas to reccomend it to anyone.
i was leaning more towards people who love fallout like no other on here rather than people who hate halo, but they are there and usually very vocal..but if you simply say its not your bag(game), then no big deal.

OT: I'll have to go with FO:NV, but I think because Bethesda isn't making it, researching it first might be a good idea. In your case I think I'll have to agree with the idea of getting Reach first and watching New Vegas.
Bethesda is still producing it and, heaven forbid, providing technical support for the game engine itself. They put the same team on it that made Fallout 1 and 2. As in, the men responsible for the franchise existing at all.

New Vegas couldn't be in better hands, development wise.
Ooh, I thought I heard Obsidian was developing it?

Obsidian is developing it. Bethesda is publishing it and providing engine support.

Ah I see...that makes sense now, haha

not to hate on reach having only played the beta, but it seems like just another halo 2 clone. you cant really clone an rpg mainly because you make the story. I am looking forward to both, but fallout will forever be my baby
