It's gonna happen, but without Bungie it will definitely be the absolute crappiest piece of terrible ever to enter a console, i mean Microsoft making a halo game just sounds bad, everything good about those games came from Bungie, without a good game company you get...SHADOWRUN!

There are rumours of Halo 4... but they're rumours. There are rumours about Gearbox doing something else Halo related, after their stint porting Halo to the PC... but they're rumours.

I hate rumours; most of them are badly wrong, and even those that aren't are misleading.

Yes but it might also be crap, this Microsoft we're talking about, they can make a good game but with a franchise like halo i don't think they'll risk going off the beaten path.

mk, Bungie already STATED they were working on a new Halo game, it wasnt going to be called "Halo 4" because it isnt tied to the trilogy.

Course there will, they aren't idiots, its a money making franchise, from a business point of view they'd be daft not to, that said, it might be a while before it is made due to the amount of games gearbox is developing. I'm thinking positive, if it is made by gearbox then maybe it will be different from its predesesors. (I was annoyed in Halo 2 and 3 of how all the levels seemed to have been copied from the previous installment, just sprused up and changed abit)

I think there will be a fourth installment, but not for another few years at least. Bungie have said they want to take a break from the franchise and work on some other ideas.

Also, Bungie has made essentially the same game 7 times over now. Space marines, powered armour, big alien war, plasma weapons. Heck, name 1 game in which going back over the levels in reverse was a good idea? I guess I do have this hatred for halo though so my opinion is pretty invalid. Short answer is Bungie need halo, its like if VALVe gave up halflife.

Do you have any idea how old that is?Before halo 1 anyway.Since 7/7/6 Bungie have been indipendant of microsoft,I really hope theres no halo4 "finish the fight-for real this time"
