Poll: Hardest.Game.Ever: The pool!!

To me, its Touhou. Hard game, but possible to actually win or finish. Beautiful vertical shooter which makes you want to play it or finish, but even the easy mode can kick your ass. Lunatic difficulty are for those inhuman players.

Exactly, why isn't Touhou on that list?

Touhou is kind of an obscure or unknown game to the western world.

I haven't played any of those games, so I say a game my friend made called jump. A platforming game that is responsible for the absence of my soul. I beat it, but with great expense to my social skills. I'll put it this way- it took me 7 hours to get past one checkpoint. 7 hours. shudder.....bad memories.

Ikaruga is there though, which should basically represent the "ludicrously hard shooter" genre by being one of it's finest examples. If you were going to count every bullet hell shooter seperately, you could fill the poll with Cave games and still have some left over.

heh i was just about to mention some cave games actually, oh well.

Anyway, didnt the op mention that it was a selection of the games mentioned on a particular thread which we have to choose from, otherwise we will be more than likely just be making a copy of that thread again.

if we are just limited to this thread then im probably leaning towards ninja gaiden 2, since im still stuck on the final boss and such, my reasons for this are that ive beat most of these games (yes including battletoads, before you mention it) (bar stalker, and Ikaruga (for... technical limitations on my part)) and due to me getting used to bullet hell shmup difficulty, which more than likely rules out Ikaruga being all that difficult to complete and well ive not really heard much about stalker so... i cant really comment on tha.

I think Ill go by Battletoads because I never played super Ghosts and Goblins...
Btw, did you know that Japanese version of battletoads is much easier that USA/European one?

I think Super Ghouls And Ghosts is the hardest game on this list.
But hardest game ever? Probably not.

Mushisama Fuuratari (I know its all wrong but meh) Black label is one of the hardest bullet hell games ever, if you find a vid of it, the screen fills with bullets.
