to be completely honest with all of you baseball is the hardest sport.
on the pro level you have to hit a pitch coming in at 95mph or faster and on top of that you aren't going to receive the same pitch every time you have to be able to read the pitcher and find out what he might through you. In the field it is just as hard if the ball is hit to you where do you through it? You have to know at all times. But a close second and third would be basketball or even football. To memorize plays is a lot of work. There are only rare occasions where a man can go pro in two of these sports. And sometimes they try for ins tense Micheal Jordan he got all the way up to minor league baseball his only problem was he couldn't hit a curve ball.

How many players in other sports end up retiring at 35-36 because they're too old to continue the abuse?
How about rugy union, players rarely make it past 34 or so and it is unlawful to wear more than 5mm (1/4 inch) of padding. I know the hits are more controlled but still look at this.

There are replays at about the two minute mark (this was a perfectly legal tackle).

Curling. I don't see how anybody could deny that.

And I don't see why people keep bashing American Football. They wear pads so they don't kill themselves. Plus, who are covered in armor will tend to hit harder. Talk crap if yo want, I'm just making an observation.
Maybe because it's a boring sport?

And maybe it's time for these footballs players to grow balls.

My girlfriend trains fencing and it's really hard and intense, in all sports mentioned above (except swimming) you can stop and rest(or it even includes resting, like baseball). You should have good constitution, concentration and agility.

No martial arts or combat based sports?? I saw this thing on TV where these guys in Eastern Europe just stand there and kick each other in the shins until one of them gives up. That seems pretty difficult to me. Or the Inuit ear pulling competition (as said in MGS1, which is a real game) where two people stand bare chested in the winter and take turns pulling on each others ears. Both of those are pretty manly if you ask me. The lumberjack olympics are pretty cool too!

who cares??? as long as u understand what im saying i really dont think it matters
It does matter, and nearly everyone on this community cares. Good spelling and grammar are very much appreciated. Also, I realize you're from a Spanish-speaking country, as am I, but please call it football or soccer.

On topic: I think the hardest sport to play is Polo, skill-wise.
For pure physical demand... rugby sevens looks like a strong choice.

I've seen several people posting paintball. Seriously, what the hell?

Rugby is the hardest to play, requiring fitness in all areas, it also requires intelligence, strategy and quick thinking when your on the field.

I'll go with American football, as least on the professional level. Outside of the physical exertion, the playbooks are absolutely huge. They have to know all the different variations for all the different plays, and that is just before the play starts. After that, they have to be able to react in a split second. If one person messes up, it typically ruins the play for his team.
