Yes.

Infocom Game. Planetfall.

The death of Floyd. No graphics, no sound.
Just text and the play you've already been through.

Starcraft - The end of the Protoss campaign. Both the original and then again in Brood War, oddly enough.

No games, movies or books have made me cry. Click came pretty close though, damn that movie was depressing.
Same here
Click? CLICK!?

If a sappy Adam Sandler flick caused you emotional grief, I can only imagine what a movie like Grave of the Fireflies would do to your stress levels.

Or where you being sarcastic? It's hard to tell.

I confess to being a sucker for Tear Jerkers [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TearJerker].

In Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, reuniting Anju and Kafei right before the moon crashes... the first time I did that, it traumatized me so much I had to go do it again once I'd gotten all four boss masks, just so I could save them.

Even the FF series has given me a couple moments... not Aeris's death, but the ending of FFX, and Roxas's and Axel's fates in KH2 (dear lord, Roxas' crying through Sora about the friends he never actually had... yikes).

I was slightly embarrassed when Rosalina's storybook in Super Mario Galaxy nearly had me weeping.

I dont belive a video game has made me cry yet, although i have come close:

LoZ TP, i forget where but i do know it came close.
final fantasy IV, when cid and yang sacrificed themselves, i was depressed all day
Super Mario Galaxy, at the end when he grabs the princess the orchestrated music plays and it seem so beutiful.
Tales of symphonia, so many touching moments.
The world ends with you, at the end where the guy in sunglasses explains his motives, i was really touched.

Actually, I have cried in frustration a few times ever since I got my first console back in '85, but very few games have made me cry with emotion. Recently "Yakuza 2" managed that, since it has a long and dramatic and quite sad death scene. The ending had me choked up as well but not actually crying, though it was still awesome in so many ways.
I don't think I've ever played any games as cinematic as the Yakuza ones, and I can really recommend them. There are many heartwrenching moments, but just as many (if not more) uplifting and sometimes even humorous ones. The Yakuza 2 ending has got to be the most gripping and engaging game cinematic I have ever seen...made even stronger by that at the very end it cuts away to the credits while "Silent Night" plays, leaving you in suspense and/or disbelief. Luckily, the aftermath IS shown after the credits. Be patient:)
I gotta agree with you there. The thought of a character who was so likeable and so well developed dying like that, choked me up quite a bit, thought not quite making me cry still.
Perfect song choice at the end too.

Aeris when she died on FFVII, though that was cause she was my main healer and one of my key characters -__-" All my work ruined thanks to that overly feminine ass. Least i got to kill him later :)

Seriously though, Lost Odyssey, near the end of the first disc. That made me get all misty eyed.

Has a game ever made you cry, either from a brilliantly done story.
It's a really good game. Don't spoil it if you've yet to play it.

Silent Hill 2
James is walking down the corridoor leading to the final battle room, while your wife, who died from cancer and you're searching for, is reading her goodbye note. I didn't cry, but close. I got really envolved with the game. That's why it's in my top 10.

I also felt pretty bad playing Shadow of the Colossus.

Films and TV is a whole other subject.

a really old point'n'click adventure game based around Titanic made me shed a tear cause of the emotions the game portrayed and the music in it.

I do say that I don't get that emotionally attached to some of the game characters recently. Though I am almost ashamed of the last time I actually did kinda well up. Now to get things clear I have never actually had tears roll down my cheeks, but I have had them sting at my eyes a tiny bit.

If you had actually taken the time to read this and wondering what game could possibly have been the last one of recent memory to do this. Well it was Ace Combat 5. So I got a tiny bit choked up when one of my wingmen crashed into a stadium without ejecting in order to protect the pixel people in the city. I fully admit I am a nerd so yeah. My dirty secret is out. <.<

It doesn't hurt that I've always enjoyed the music in those games recently and it just seemed to add to the event portrayed on the screen.
