Ok I heard about a game called E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy from Destructoid one day and I looked it up and found it on steam but so far haven't seen any real reviews of it so far and I'm wondering if it's worth getting now. I looked on the steam fourms and common complaint is the bugs but I know that some people love some games despite the bugs (see S.T.A.T.K.E.R series, Bethesda games, Neverwinter Nights 2, etc) so I'm wondering if anyone here has played it or not and if so would they recommend I play it as well. It looks really interesting so far so if it turns out to be good I hope this draws a bit more attention to it.

Also here is the steam link to the game.

A member wrote a bit of a piece about it here:

Personally I haven't played it, but it's getting very mixed reviews according to Metacritic [http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/eye-divine-cybermancy/critic-reviews]

Two 80s and two 50 or belows. Looks like a love it or hate it type of game.

It's hard to get in to, but, if you can get past it's short comings, it's a great game.

STALKER meets Deus Ex meets Demon's Souls meets....something? Honestly, it's a pretty damn unique game, and it actually is REALLY cool and fun if you can get into it. My friends and I weren't able to get the multiplayer working, but that was probably more us being stupid than the game's problem.

So yea, def worth it, and if you've got 3 friends get the four pack and save some money.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever buy it so thanks for that bit of info.

That sounds like a demonic combination actually but also awesome. Though I don't have any friends so that's a 20$ tag for me. Multiplayer wouldn't be a deal breaker for me anyway since I don't use it. Thanks for telling me though.

DO NOT PAY FOR IT!

Simple really, it's a bad, boring, poorly designed game.

I've played it for about 2 or 3 house, just to give it a chance,
but nothing is getting better about it.

If you're intrigued about the setting and atmosphere, I'd rather recommend

S.T.A.L.K.E.R (pretty much all of them)or maybe Hellgate: London

But of the love of "insert belief" do not PAY for that game,
unless you can get it for under $5

After playing it for a few hours, I rather like it. The UI is clunky but there are some interesting ideas. It's hard to get into, but there is a good amount of complexity to character leveling. Waaaay to dark, like it's hard to see anything. I get that it is for gameplay purposes, but some areas (Like the hub world) should not be so dark. The writing is horrid though, but it has a really bizzare atmosphere to it. I'd say give it a try if you're interested.

There's a fantastic game in there somewhere, but it's hidden under a ton of unclear design decisions, poor direction and low production values. It's also rather buggy right now.

You sure you played this game? The S.T.A.L.K.E.R setting and atmosphere couldn't be more different than E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy. Perhaps you are a bit confused as both games use a lot of periods in their titles?
A couple aspects of it remind me a bit of STALKER. Mostly the small amount of damage you can take before dying (Unless there is some huge difference between light and the other armors) and the bleeding damage. But atmosphere wise, no I don't really see the connection.

Why thank you for thinking of me as a complete idiot <3

And yes, I've played doth games, I've played all of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games as well

And E.Y.E reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all the way through, from the foggy landscapes,
the surreal music to the controls and the lighting in the game, both games give a very
good depiction of a post-EoD world.

E.Y.E is exactly how I pictured a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game would look like, if it took place in a major city, and not in the outskirts.

I bought the game, I installed the game, I intended to play the game, but the fucking thing won't start. At all. So yeah. Wait for some patches.
