Doing a 180 on drm, and the game project spark being an exclusive have made it a possibility....

If they sell a cheaper version sans kinect then it becomes a contender.

Nope. Still has always on Kinect, and still requires a constant online connection if the game uses Microsoft's cloud servers for part of its processing (and with it's lack of power, most of them will), even for single player games.

Nope. Not interested in Microsoft or their business practices. Besides, I enjoy PlayStation games a lot more. The day Sony implements draconian measures I'll say goodbye to them too

nope. microsoft screwed the pooch for me with what they originally released, no amount of sucking up will make up for what they originally intended (and probably still intend to later do). as much as i want to give them some credit for doing the right thing (only after a butt-load of internet whining) it shouldn't have happened in the first place, nor did they even acknowledge what they originally had was incredibly wrong.

If they SINCERELY apologized and admitted, not that Gamers screwed up and there system was brillant we just didn't appreciate it or that it was just bad marketing but that it was a STUPID decision, made it so the Kinect could be disconnected and somehow made it so it could never be used against a gamer (could never be used to send information to microcrap or count the number of people in the room etc) and then threw in IllumiRoom as a bonus "We are sorry present" then I would consider buying it

But currently they are still acting like its OUR fault, that they were right but we just didn't appreciate them enough

Nope, I never wanted to get one. The change came about a year and a half ago ago when my Xbox360 died on me. I hadn't played it much in the year prior, and I didn't really care when it RROD'd, as I had gotten back into PC Gaming. For whatever reason, my Mom got me a new 360 for Christmas last year, which I didn't ask for, didn't indicate I wanted, and I'm old enough to replace my electronics if I feel the need to. I'm appreciative, it's a large purchase, and I thanked her for weeks after, but after this 'new generation' kerfuffle emerged, I realized I haven't played anything on the new 360 since February.

I can hook my PC up to a TV if needed, and can use an XBOX controller if needed. But I still prefer mouse and keyboard for most games. And the debacle with Microsoft curtailing used games, plus the creepy aspect of the Kinetic just turned me off to it.

But first and foremost, I'd rather use my PC to play games. I prefer the controls, and with a monitor set 2 feet away from you it feels more immersive than sitting 20 feet away watching a TV.

Never wanted one, still not interested. Shitty treatment of the customer base aside, they have zero exclusive franchises I am interested in.
