I don't get why people say it's not OK for guys to cry. In the words of Mr. Lif,

Dudes are acting macho and they don't know why
A famous never-written motto is that "boys should never cry"
Keep all those emotions bottled up, now what's up?
You can't communicate once you became an adult
Situations got brought 'cause you had lockjaw

A few songs have made me cry the first few times, most notably "Videotape" by Radiohead. Also, "Where is My Mind?" by Pixies, but that's a more personal one for me.

I read this book when I was in 8th grade, you know, going through that manly man stage, it was called Hanging on to Max, about a single parent that was 17 and it was really sad, it made me bawl like a baby.

Movies that've made me tear up: Ray, Black Hawk Down (what? It was powerful), uh... there was one movie I saw when I was a kid that made me outright cry, but I don't remember what it was called.

Songs: ATWA by System of a Down. The song itself isn't so sad, but I associate it with a lot of things that've happened to me in the past, and people that I've known.

While nothing has made me outright cry, some things brought a tear to my eye. For example, and I'm probably going to get a lot of criticism for this, there have been some moments in Dragon Ball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho that brought a tear to my eye.

Now let me be perfectly clear. I've seen numerous movies, read numerous books, and heard numerous songs, and by some sort of irony, it's those sorts of anime that can impact me at times. It's usually, if not entirely, the moments where a character's loved one(s) is killed before his eyes, and there is such great sorrow and anger that they completely let go of inhibitions, conscious or otherwise, and release the power dormant within them. That concept seems to hit me more than most others for some reason, cliched as it is.

Film has been the only thing to make me actually cry. However, I get strong emotions from some songs.
