So I'm starting a bit of a Slender subplot in a RP when something came to mind What could be more horrible than an monstrous entity looking for his 20$?

Answer: an Angel on a bad day.

Now, I know nothing about either So I'll let the Whovians meet the Slendy Fans and we'll get to the bottom of this!

Personally: Slender *MIGHT* be able to break the Angel (They are only stone right?) but he would get sent back in time, not that'd it affect him too much, he's said to be ageless.

Whadda you think?

As much as I love the Weeping Angels, i'm going to go with Slendy on this one, as he's unpredictable, he can invade your dreams and make people lose their minds, plus if you see him, you're pretty much fucked, whereas with the angels all you have to do is stare at them and don't blink and you should be fine, also their killing tactics are kinder as they only break your neck if they need to use your voice to speak and their usual tactic is to send their victim back in time and feed off the potential energy of the years the victim would have lived in the present, to quote the Doctor that they're the only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely

Yeah, I was going to say... What can the Weeping Angels actually do to Slenderman? Does the Slenderman even count as seeing them? Does he need to blink? Can he not in fact, see everything? To reverse the first question, what can Slenderman actually do to the Weeping Angels? I don't even know what he does to anything!

Gah, so many unanswerable questions...

EITHER he disembowels the people he doesn't drive mad and hangs them from trees in sacks, OR he tags them for the Rake who does it. It's a bit uncertain. Perhaps the people he drives mad are the Rakes, or else the Monitors who send the messages. Or maybe the Monitors control the Slendermen? So Slender by himself could maybe do something with tentacles, but alone I think they'd just teleport around each other doing next to nothing.

If I recall correctly, when the Weeping Angel strike, they send you back in time (although I read later on they wipe that person existence?) and also they are made of stone.
While I do not know the exact nature when the Slender "get you" (does it rip you limb by limb or eat you?) but Slenderman would have a hard time fighting something made of stone.
Overall- The Weeping Angel would win.

Eh, I'd rather face a weeping angel. If you need to blink then wink one eye, and then the other. Easy.

Also Slendy looks creepier.

If the two of 'em fight though then its just one of those eternal battle things. No one wins (except Humanity I guess.)

The Weeping Angels aren't really that horrible though. I mean, in terms of how they kill you, it's really pretty quick. Or they make you live out your days in the past, which isn't that bad either.

It's pretty fucking scary trying to survive the Angels, but if you just give up it's not too bad at all.

I'd say slenderman. Angels may have power in numbers but they've been beaten by a pychoctic man wearing a fez and bowtie many a time to prove how un-scary they are.

Slenderman on the other hand has yet to be proven as defeatable.

Slenderman would unleash nightmares upon the Weeping Angels, he has no eyes yet sees all. They would be unable to become stone thus entirely vulnerable to his endless reach, he would be most interested to see what organs they contain which he can then remove and stuff meaninglessly back into their chest cavity before crudely sewing them up and leaving them impaled upon trees... flesh scarecrows, their faces screaming for eternity. Their horror as a tribute to his mercy, gracing them with his twilight embrace.

In conclusion, Slenderman would win.

Slenderman tears the blessed open, removes their organs, stuffs them into sacks and sews them back inside the corpse before impaling them on tree branches... it is not known what he does with the young, only that he leads them away from their parents in broad daylight and the ones that come back commit horrific acts because of his silent screams. As the Slenderman has no eyes, the Weeping Angels have no way of stopping his eclipsing grasp. Time has no meaning to the eternal Slenderman and as the blessed are chosen through their knowledge of the Slenderman, erasing everyone elses knowledge of him would lead the Slenderman to pursue only the Weeping Angels.

Their demise is assured.

Considering the slenderman has no eyes, it'd be difficult for him to combat the angels, as they wouldn't quantum lock around him (unless they interact with his form of perception). Considering how durable the angels are, he might have a difficult time combating them head on, but considering his capabilities, the angels might have an equally tough time. Unless they send him into the past to feed off of his remaining lifetime, which could be quite long.

I think you have stumbled upon something here. The Slendermen have clearly been put here to help keep the Weeping Angels at bay. For they never stop seeing, are not affected by time, and are capable of teleportation (or just share the ability to move fast. not sure really what it is). They just come after us when they grow bored of their endless battle with the angels! Or perhaps, it is more like the plot of Alien vs. Predator where Earth is just another battle ground and we just happen to exist in it.

However, we know little of the numbers on each side, so who knows how this will sway.

EDIT:

Well, the numbers are difficult to argue for either side, but Slendermen mostly only come out at night, but are capable of moving around during the day just as often.

Don't know too much about either of the fighters, but what I do know about Slender is that he's apparently immortal, has incredibly reach and strength, and has various psychic abilities. Another thing is that, from my understanding, you only see him if he WANTS you to see him. He's a stalker-class monster, always lurking, always watching, only giving you glimpses of him to drive you crazy with paranoia.

I'd imagine the angles would have a hard time finding something that can only be found when it wants to be found...specifically right before it kills you. If that's not a good enough case....

OK, I haven't really been following the Slenderman "mythos" that much but reading this thread has made him...less scary overall. Seriously, I cannot stop thinking that a bunch of 10 year olds came up with him - just all that oneupmanship thrown in there. "Ooh, I heard he, like, was very strong" "Oh, yeah, he is also, like, immortal!" "Uh-huh, he also has PSYCHIC POWERS!" "I bet his dick also shoots lasers!"

I cannot really find horror in something that seems like random stuff thrown together trying to emulate "scary".

I...I don't understand. How could slenderman even compare to the Weeping Angels. I don't even...

Slenderman is just not scary. Not in the slightest.

I'd compare the "scariness level" of Slenderman to that of a child's drawings that the child then describes to you. "uh he haz uh lots of arms and uh and uh he uh and he gets you uh and uh he doesn't have eyes uh and uhm and uh a face and uh he's scary. uh."

Why is SCP-173 not also on the list while we're at it? :p

edit:
Also, think I prefer slenderman before all this silly 'additions'.
Back when I was simply a haunting figure which could be seen in the background of photographs (usually of young children)
