Poll: Has Something you have said in the fourms ever resulted in someone's response getting them banned?

I wouldn't no, I have a hit-and-run posting habit, I click randomly on a thread, read through it, post, and go away never to come back. It'd be funny if someone got banned over a reply to me that I never even read.
Not that I'm aware of, no... I know several people got banned on one of my threads, but not in response to one of my posts, no.
On here? The closest I can think of is when someone got extremely agitated with my opinions and came down upon me with the full fury of swearing and pointless insults. He got banned only a few hours later when he directly insulted someone else.
Another guy had a go at me, but he got suspended for being a prick to someone else.
I've noticed that here on the Escapist my opinions have attracted some rather harsh responses. Now, I have no problem with this - it is in fact you (as in, the one replying to me in such a manner) who has the problem. But I really don't see the point in acting like a condescending prick, or getting agitated over something so insignificant. God forbid I be open-minded enough to believe that any Bioshock sequel made in the near-future could possibly be good with or without Rapture in it. God forbid I use the word "logical" in the context of "there is no logical way around this or that". God forbid I have a dissenting opinion about anything! But be aware - when people act that way towards me for whatever stupid reason, they usually suffer the consequences due to the staff being on my side, since I typically do nothing wrong while you proceed to talk shit and hurl insults my way in an agitated manner. Don't complain when you get the banhammer for your rather anal behaviour.
Anyway, on another forum, this... colourful fellow got himself banned due to his behaviour - in response to our resident Aion player who consistently joked about how Aion was a superior MMO to WoW and how all WoW players are idiots and how WoW is a bad game period, etc, I made a joke thread about WoW was the superior MMO etc. It was merely a joke to us. Then, her fanboy (who I shall refer to as "J-dawg") came in and hijacked the thread. J-dawg spent the entire thread arguing with me (I know, I know, internet arguments are pointless, etc) and he was rather slow too - and I mean slow in the head. I told him the entire thread was meant to be a joke and that he was acting like an ass, and he fired back saying I was personally insulting him and that I was just "butthurt" at his mistress's anti-WoW posts. He then told someone else that I was stupid for going "har har I was joking you fell for it lol", which was false. I made it clear enough that I was joking light-heartedly but he misunderstood and thought I meant a different kind of joke. And of course, his behaviour got him banned... temporarily. To our frustration, the adminship continue to let him come back time after time because he actually begs to be able to come back. It's an endless cycle. Prior to him acting like an ass toward me unprovoked, I had nothing against him and actually felt some pity for him when he complained of people not liking him. Well, now I understand why people don't like him. Nobody likes someone who makes enemies of those who would be allies. He's done more than enough to be perma-banned several times over.
On yet another forum (a Christian forum, believe it or not), this crazy boy (who enjoys hate-mongering and stirring up hatred against me by convincing stupid people that I'm somehow the devil or something because he was jealous about me being such good friends with a mutual friend of ours... This link explains everything - and yes, it's accurate. Also of note is that he found this page by internet stalking - he had a habit of searching for stuff to use against me. I made a thread in the Teens section detailing why I was upset about something that happened which I considered distressing at the time (no, it wasn't something dramatically insignificant) and guess what - he and his internet buddy hijacked my thread and populated it with numerous insults against me, as well as using it as a base for more hate-mongering. When the staff got involved, he and his buddy got banned and the entire thread was wiped from the forums forever. It was seriously bad stuff.

A couple of days ago actually. To be fair, he was the one calling me a retard and a ****, I think our forum is a lot more mature than that.

On topic, I have not ever inadvertently gotten someone punished with something I've said, mostly because I tend to keep my opinions on more polarizing matters to myself. All it'll do is make people want to fight, and I hate arguing.
Not here, but on other forums it has happened before. Usually when they troll me for not loving their favorite game.
Not on this forum, but a Norwegian one a looong time ago. There was a Tekken quiz, and the question was "Which Tekken game has made the most money" (this was back in 2004), and I replied 'Tekken 3', and then this other guy said: "I also think Tekken 3."
Since I already had said Tekken 3, the moderator told the other poster that his post was meaningless, (I should mention that this was a spammer of a whole new level), so he got another tick in the Warning-field, and this one resulted in a ban.

personally I wouldn't draw attention to myself when I get someone quite a few of the people on this forum like banned. Especially if my addition to the discussion was at the intelligence level of a troll... But that's just me.
I suppose i have, as if someone's going to flame me I'm going to report, especially if I think it's ridiculous.
In fact, I applauded his post. It was awesome. I have a dislike for the person who reported.
