Yes. I called some Marine an ITG for being unable to post in a forum without referring to "librel pussies" and suggested that he always brings up the fact that he's in the Marine Corps because he wants the admiration that the recruiter suckered him into believing that he'd get.

Through a series of events I think I indirectly got some fellow suspended. While it wasn't the response to my post that directly resulted to the suspension, it was more his reaction to others regarding that post.

Agreed, I wonder if the mods read the whole argument before launching the hammer. I would have flown so off the handle to a comment like that. I'm surprised that Thunder was courteous enough actually poke all the glaring flaws in OP's argument instead of a constant stream of insults like I would have done.

What really made me angry was how the OP thought he was justified because "his religion gets picked on all the time". I say they should unban Rolling Thunder, and ban or suspend the OP.

I appealed, and so did others. Sadly nothing worked. I guess RT didn't bother to repeal himself. So the mods took no action. Sad to see him go, but I guess theres nothing we can do now.

Again, I did not break forum rules, however I will participate in an effort to unban him, as a sign of forgiveness. Read the rest of the thread, there was plenty of poking back.

I did get someone suspended once, I was being trolled however as quite a few people confirmed to me (I asked a user group what I should do, and if I was actually being trolled). Only time really, since then I can't say i've been in an arguement.

I have however likely done enough to get a suspension at one point or another, just no one has reported me. Lucky I guess, either that or I just haven't noticed and one day i'll just get banned.

Sometimes I do think the mods are over zealous in the bannings such as with Rolling thunder, I liked the guys imput in the politics and god bashing thread. Still, if people complain and the mods really are only trying to do whats best for us as a whole so I can't blame them. Chances are unbanning the guy would do nothing anyway, unless someone knows him outside of the escapist forums?

He should, considering how his ban was very questionable. If you do something stupid, don't appeal, but if it's like what happened to you and RT, it's reasonable to question the ban.

this one guy with a mudkip icon (it was not the commi mudikip though) who hated americans (he was canadian, he also boasted that they won world war 2 and that americans are taught screwy history, that our governments were gods etc..) , showed him I was ignorant to things he thought were common discrimination jokes used in america, and that we did not learn what he thought we learned. Why do I need to respect another religion? Look at south park, family guy, even the Simpsons. They do not respect religion and yet receive millions of views (and lots of flack). I am fine with taking flak, but what makes Islam immune to the criticism that other religions, and even I get? If I say "Mohammad was a paedophile" does that make me racist even though it is true?
