I'm wondering because I (personally) don't know anyone who has ever bought an online pass.

Nope.

I buy all my console games used (here in Australia a brand new high-profile PS3 game can cost $110) but I have yet to buy a pass. I don't really have anything against the idea, I just haven't seen one worth buying yet.

I buy the online pass, even if the game came with one. I support the new video game order, those who do not are peasant scum.

Nope , and i won't every buy one . I ever refused to input the online code for deadspace 2 ( which i bought new for 30$ in june) out of principle . Even if they give me the codes when i buy new , refuse to use them . It might not do much , but i do it out of principle.

I play on PC so used games generally aren't available at all on my platform. I'm not interested in online multiplayer anyway, so even if the multiplayer was locked behind an online pass it wouldn't really effect me, I would still have no reason to get one.

Yeah all the games I buy used are usually so old they were made before the whole "online pass" shenanigans was ever dreamed up. I'm catching up to all the cool PS2 games I missed, Okami, SOTC, Persona 4 etc etc. I'm just cherry picking all the classics in the PS2 library.

I did buy a few PS2 and old DS games on Amazon "new" (only a few years late guys!) I wonder how much of my money the devs would actually see now...

Though I do buy present day games new since i can afford it. Now if you'll excuse me I have an odd feeling to go and try the PC version of KOTOR again. Damn game bugs out during the second planet (AKA when things get good!)

You should reword this to "have you even been scammed by a publisher".

No. No I have not.

I have never bought one and never will. Not because I always buy new, but because it's a massive scam.

Never needed to. The games I play on multiplayer I always buy new. I DO buy used games, but they're always single-player affairs. In fact, when I get those, I give them away here on these forums.

Good point but that is pretty broad. If you're a gamer, it's more than likely you've been scammed by a publisher at some point.
As a ps3 owner, I feel like I've gotten scammed almost every time I've bought a third party game and now that all Sony games have online pass, all first party games too.

Once, for Arkham City. Is that even an Online Pass? I can't tell anymore. I don't even know if people differentiate between Day 1 DLC, Online passes and DRM anymore. They all just SAY they boycott it all the same.

But I voted for "Yes, if I like a game/devs enough I'll buy the online pass even if I bought the game new." because 1) it's true and 2) I honestly have to go out of my way to stumble upon a situation where I have to buy an Online pass/DRM/Day 1 DLC, so...

Life's too short to cry over this shit, IMO. Tell me when something REALLY serious happens and I'll bust out the boombox with my RATM and Muse mixtapes.

Who's crying? I think it's the platform & software developers who are crying because not enough people have bought consoles and games this generation. Is that really our fault? If the console developers had made their machines cheaper and/or more functional, they may have moved more units and thus the software devs would have more people in a position to buy their games.
However, they expect the remaining gamers to make up the lost revenue.
So what's going to happen when I and a bunch of other current console owners don't ever buy a console when the next gen rolls around (not too far off by the looks of it)? They're going to look for more ways to get more money out of the remaining console gamers.
Nothing REALLY serious isn't ever going to happen. It's just games, not food & heat; nobody is going to get 'revolution' upset. More and more are just going to not bother and find better things to do.
What would you define as REALLY serious anyway AND do you really want to see it get to that point?

No, and I never will either.
Not because I'm against online passes, but because I don't play multiplayer games anymore apart from MMOs - and even then I prefer to just play alone.

No, when I bought Resistance 3 I thought I would have to buy one but it turned out I had one unused.

I don't plant to buy one, which is the reason I haven't bought battlefield 3.

Bought a used copy of Dead Space 2 and like the online enough to get a pass.

Only instead of getting one for $10 on the EA store, I got one off Ebay for $1.

No. Don't really own any games that do, and I if I did, I would not purchase it. Massive waste of money, imo.
