I was wondering... I used to be quite a sensitive child, I cried at a lot of things.. not because i couldn't get my way or anything, mainly through fear of failure :/ but these days, the only thing that seems to reduce me to tears is music. Though i've only become that emotional because of something big at the time, and the song just fits so perfectly. (yeah i know this may sound pretty sad) I told my friends.. and unfortunately most of them laughed at me. typical. so escapists, has any music made YOU cry?

Here are the songs:
Radiohead: Fake plastic tree's, Street Spirit
Animal collective: Banshee Beat
Arcade fire: Tunnels
Johnny Cash: Hurt
Porcupine tree: Collapse light into earth

For some reason, Gran Torino actually makes me shed a tear or two.
It's not the track itself though, but it's connection to the story of the movie of the same name.

Corny as hell, but my girlfriend finished things with me. I got in the car and started to drive away from her house. This song came on the radio. It was dark, yet somehow the moon made it kinda weird half light and all the stars were out in the sky. As i drove along just the guitar line and his voice made me well up. I'm not normally an emotional person either, but this song still has the same effect. There's just something lovely about it.

Most of Slipknots music does, especially tracks from Vol 3, the subliminal verses.

Totally.
Deathbed by Relient K.
Sgt Mackenzie.
A few hymns as well.

I'm a sap for music that speaks to experience.

I said yes, because I've been emotionally moved by a song, maybe a little watery eyed, no tears though. That is a lot from me though.

Yep, first time I heard these two songs, my tear ducts didn't know what was going on. I still get a bit choked up when I listen to them now and again too.

There have been a few moments in my life where I have been going through a rough spot only to have a song come along that describes that moment perfectly. Despite the initial reaction these songs have given me they still remain as some of my favorites.

When I go back and listen to soundtracks of old games I haven't played in decades. Or sad songs in animated films.

Back when I first started going out with my girlfriend, we were sat chatting in my room and my music was on random in the background. Bridge over troubled water came on and she burst into tears. Turns out it was her grandma's favorite song and was played at her funeral. It was awkward till she explained that I can say.

OT some pieces of music make me emotional, not usually to the point of tears though. Some songs give me the shivers or goosebumps too.

No, never. I am a manly man.

The closest I've ever got was a Manowar song. Which is really weird.
