Poll: Have loads of games? Why?

I recently had a clear out, and traded in 26 360 games (would've been 27 if the guys had accepted my copy of Too Human). To me, this seems like a lot, but, on inspection, it turns out that that was less than a third of of my 360 collection.

I'm quite a hoarder of my games, for seemingly no reason.

Do you have an oversized collection (in your opinion)? If so, why?

PS. I also have a good 30 PS2 and 20 odd Gamecube games stowed away, but they're not going anywhere.

I have around 15 discs from the old days, Now i just use steam for everything (If you count those its around 70).

God I have hundreds :S Then again, you can't trade in PC disks anywhere, can't replace N64 cartridges and I generally find other games' trade-in rates to be simply insulting. Better to hang onto them 'just in case' rather than basically hand over £20 profit to some selfish store.

I never get rid of my games, and have shitloads of the bastards. I'd say at least 100 PC games(although some of them are expansion packs/shared with my sister).

Between my PS3, 360, Steam, Wii, downloadable games, etc., I'd say I have maybe... 40 or so games? I haven't bothered to count recently.

Also, If I'd never sold a game, I'd have many, many more. I play a lot of games. And no, I don't think it's oversized. I still play most of the games in my collection, otherwise I'm saving them for my hypothetical children/nostalgic old age.

Hundreds. As of this moment I have 65 Xbox games, 35 PS2 games 8 PS3 games, 40 360 games and untold hundreds of PC games. Having never sold a game, it's pretty easy to amass a collection. My PC game collection (on optical disc) extends as far as Spectrum Holobyte's 1994 edition of Falcon Gold and Lucas Art's Day of the Tentacle.

I have about 40+ 360 games at the moment, a lot of them bought pretty cheap as well. Stupid video game stores gave away classics like Prey and Frontline for 7 euro! I couldn't pass up the deal. I have a lot of games like that. I will pretty much buy anything if it looks decent and the price is right. Hence why I have so many.

I will not trade in any of them though. They are more valuable to me here. Why would I sell them for an unworthy price at gamestop or something. I have always envied the people who have like massive snes collections. I wasn't smart enough to horde my ps2 games, but I am smart enough to do it with my 360 games. 10 years from now everone is going to be raving about how awesome Mass Effect and Bioshock were, and I will be able to go back and play them again all full of nostalgia and have no regrets.

Provided I have a working 360 that is. Would you believe that's the hard part. So yep, proud 40+ game owner. My tower looks crazy impressive.

I used to be on the larger end of the spectrum, but I finally realized that the discs were doing nothing but gathering dust. Got rid of them and now I basically have credit for life at Gamestop

I currently have 218 games. Why? Because I buy them for pretty cheap amounts. Usually cheaper than renting, so my collection continues to grow. I also enjoy having a physical copy of things.

I have 18 games for my PS3, but I've owned 22 (not at the same time). But I did used to have loads of PS2 games, I have 21 now, but I traded dozens in when I got my PS3.

All together, over 150.
I own a LOT of NES games, because for a while, I was going to try and collect all of them, but I got poor and lazy, so I only own about 65.
