It's funny, everytime I think this, they put out an episode that's awesome. The first three to four Castlevania III episodes and the Kirby episodes are my favorite though. I think Jon needs to be more obnouxious, but also give Arin his time to chill out and talk logically.

I agree though I haven't seen that much lately. I loved some of their earlier episodes when they mainly focus on the game but later on through some of those games it feels like they've been through it all before and they start up unrelated topics I couldn't care less about.

Hmm. Guess I'm in the minority here.

I watch them every day. No, not every episode, but usually one while I'm eating and one before I hit the hay. I don't think they've lost their charm, but I think that some games are just better to laugh at than others.

Good Examples: Mario Party games, You Don't Know jack, Goof Troop.

Bad Examples: Wario World, Stairfax 64, Golden Eye, Nickelodeon: Guts.

It can be pretty hit or miss, but I think they're still going strong, thanks to Barry.

Eh I mean it's still better audio fodder than any other gameplay out there. Nothing id ever sit down and watch just to watch but its good for when I'm working out or editing or something.

I don't necessarily think it's gotten better or worse. Sometimes they talk about things that are interesting or the game gives them something interesting to talk about, sometimes they get stuck on something you don't find interesting and the game isn't helping them out at all with anything worth talking about. That's just the way it goes with these things.

Eh, they're not as good as when they first started out, but I watch them more out of routine than anything now :D

I like having them on in the background, even if I'm not paying attention 100%

Also, because this is awesome.

I really enjoyed them when they played the Kirby games or other fun retro games, but now I just don't recognize any of the games they're choosing to play, Sonic '06 became boring once they passed the 40 mark, and quite frankly, I'm just not really interested in their style anymore. I love these two and a joint gaming channel seemed like the best thing ever, but it seems you can only go so far if you start out with a bang. Perhaps they should go back to Animal Crossing for a bit to allow things to reignite again with their initial audience.

I was a big fan of each of them individually, but I only ever watched the first Game Grumps and thought "not my thing". I figured it to be a side project that would go away in a few weeks or months, either from a planned ending, due to low interest, or due to interfering too much with their own content. I haven't heard anything else about it since then, until right now. Looks like I was wrong, and it also looks like that's too bad. Damn.

I started watching them fairly late, but I still do, and I find it funny. The main thing at this point is Barry's occasional contributions, combined with the knowledge that the requests aren't done in real time, which makes his timing hilarious. While it does annoy me that they are talking less about the game they're playing, it doesn't annoy me to the extent that I would stop watching, although it's infuriating when they're talking about something else through important cutscenes that they could have satirised, or when the story says something and neither of them knows what is happening. And skipping cutscenes and not keeping on-topic for Bayonetta was a travesty. I'm also getting sick of nostalgia trips and the endless f***ing SNES games. There is the occasional serious debate over a game mechanic of plot device or something, which often go really well.

Overall still entertaining enough to watch.

I stopped watching because when they're not trying to run through donation games or playing through Nintendo games reliving how ever game they played back then was great, they're instead whining that Nintendo did it better than the game they're playing every time.

I don't care who makes the games, and hearing constant praise of a company while playing another game is not entertaining especially when the game is not the one they're playing.

They don't seem to care about donation games either, they play a bit, make a vid of it while talking about random crap (or how much better Mario or something did it than the game) then they move right on, sometimes having to have barry put the names of the donator because they forgot to say.

Nah, I've watched basically every episode and I still find them relaxing and funny. Yeah they can get a bit boring on occasion but they more than make up for it with some utterly hilarious antics, especially when they pull out the unrelated videos of them doing stupid or embarrasing shit.

They do need to focus more on the game that they're playing. They do run around in circles a lot because they don't read a bit of text or skip a cutscene. Still the best game commentary channel hands down in my opinion.

Compare the first Mario Party 2 vs to the revengeance version.

It was so different to me that it's kind of unsettling. I think it started with Naughty Bear, which was terrible and awful.

However, the ultimate muscle vs and Guest Grumps were fantastic and amazing, so I hope for more of those.
Mario Party 2 and Banjo-Kazooie are the only 2 games I recall them actually respecting. Their 2nd Mario Party 2 was perhaps better for that one time Bowser showed up and passed Jon twice in one turn.

From Naughty Bear to Wario World to even Bayonetta, their complete disregard for some games' tutorials or the games themselves has made me consider their act "Grumping", which is worse than "Let's Playing" if you don't like them.

I'll admit I watch them less, but I still watch them. Their show is basically just a 2 man lets play so honestly I'm surprised it ever had a huge following to begin with. And really the whole thing gets old after a while.

All that being said my computer's current wallpaper is this:

It seems they totally abandoned their usual work, which was really good, for this. So yeah. Great.
They're constantly insisting that isn't the case, but... I mean, Pokeawesome 2 and Sequalitis Zelda have been "coming out soon" since, what, August? And if we make it through summer, we'll have had ONE Jontron in the past YEAR.

Can't say I blame them though. I mean, if you could make roughly the same money by either writing, filming/animating, and editing a 20 minute video or hanging out with your best friend playing video games, what would you do?

I'd like it if they took the summer off. Cool down a bit, work on their other stuff, come back fresh in the fall.
Pokeawesome 2 just came out today. Egoraptor gave a reason for taking so long. Doesn't really excuse him, but yeah.

Also, what? One JonTron? Uh...

Space Ace
Continue - Drunkstravaganza
Nightshade
Kings Quest
Birdemic
Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
Top 10 Necessary sequels
Star Wars Kinect
CS GO
Charlies Angels

Have all come out within a years time. Charlie's Angels came out on April 20, 2012. Jon slowed down after GG, but not THAT much. Even if you meant if we got past summer, there was still Space Ace, drunkstravaganza and Nightshade.

OT: Yeah, I've kinda stopped watching them for a bit, but I think they're still funny.
I love them individually, but in that list there's Continue, and they do exactly what Game Grumps do with the exception of it being funnier and higher quality. Jon and Arin should stick to what they do best.

I never really watched them really.
I just hear they were kinda like the Yogscast and i got anoyed of the yogscast as soon as i knew more about the game they were playing then them...
so pretty much as soon as the name was mentioned.
I still like Yogscast, because they introduced me to the minecract modding scene, but that doesn't make them any less awfull.

I always found it to be incredibly anoyying and dull so I guess I wouldn't notice a drop in quality.

And it's weird because I like a lot of what egoraptor has done, and jontron isn't bad, but that series is so obnoxious.

Initially I was a bit iffy about the show, but ended up watching it out of habit. They have their moments, but as far as I'm concerned those moments have always been directly related to the gameplay, and not some random shit they spout on the side. Those moments have been in short supply lately.

I used to revere Egoraptor's Sequelitis for its in-depth analysis of game mechanics, and Jontron I always thought was hilarious, so it hurts me to see that in reality these guys are biased and nostalgia-tainted just like every other gamer ever. Somehow I feel that if Ego was to play Castlevania for the very first time now, without any hype, he'd think it was trash and rage quit it within ten minutes.

Uh, I dunno.

It probably feels that way since they upload two videos a day, every day, so you just sort of get used to it and so do they.

But I've seen every single video, and I think it's more that they're inconsistent in quality, rather than in a decline or getting better or whatever. For example, today's videos were fuckin' great. But some of the ones this week have been only alright.

They're just people, they can't be funny all the time.

When exactly were they good? I've seen a few episodes and it consists of 90% one guy laughing constantly even as he is trying to speak, and the other guy talking about random crap that has nothing to do with the game on screen.

If they actually manage to reference what they are playing its usually purely incidental. I watched their vid of the Shovel Knight Demo and they just went on about how one guys pet bird bit the shit out of his lip. Like half the vid was about that.

Their Demon's Souls vid was boring. I didn't think there could be a boring Demon's Souls commentary vid, but they nailed it.

They aren't as terrible as TobyGames...yet, but a far cry from watchable.

The only person I find myself coming back to is NorthernLion. I see all kinds of LPs for games I'm interested in or never heard of, and as he is one of the few I think is entertaining.
