Poll: Have you ever been convinced by a fanboy?

I'm just wondering.
Because they kind of creep me out. Not all of them but the kind of guy who mentions Mac 40 times in a three min conversation reminds me more of a religious nut than a techie. Especially when they want to burn the unbelievers and can't hear a good word about their favorite companies competition without spouting a ton of irrelevant insults at said competition.
I know these companies hire PR bozos to start these kinds of flamewars but are there really so many people willing to drink the koolaid.

The moment I detect a fanboy mentality, I just drop the conversation. I adhere to a live-and-let-live philosophy so I really don't like to waste time on people that are so desperate to force their opinion on everybody else.

Opinions aren't facts. People that don't understand that aren't worth talking to.

Same, I might show a Microsoft/Nintendo preference but I've no particular problem with the good things Sony's done or any rose-tinted glasses for the bad things MS/Ninty have done.

Outside of a flame thread, and rarely, but there are some people out there that are knowledgeable enough to provide a good argument that can persuade me. But once the flaming begins, they normally devolve back into the typical fanboy, and I leave the thread.

I was convinced to give Eve another try by a fan boy. Was talking to him about eve and how much it sucked, he said a load of stuff and convinced me to give it another chance, played for 14 days, and now can safely say it sucks with better reason that 2 days of playing 3 years ago.
