Poll: Have you ever been drawn into a fad...

As the question says, have you ever been drawn into a fad? I would have used the search bar to see if there was a similar topic but I couldn't be bothered. Anyway back on topic, I nearly always got drawn into a fad. For example Pokemon cards, scooters and even yo-yo's which would sometimes cost upwards of £20. But those had sweet LED's inside

Yes. I got drawn into fads all the time when I was a child.

Give me ONE person who grew up in the nineties who DIDN'T have a deck of pokemon cards.
I spent a ton of money on it and still love first gen pokemon.

but since then, I haven't bought into anything, because after the pokemon phase went away, I was left with a dack of cards that I didn't use, and ended up giving away as a gag gift

If fads include memes then yes, I often jump into fads. But the last fad I was REALLY into was the Snakes on a Plane hype. That was fun, but the movie really wasn't. However, I'm never on the bandwagon for fads that exist outside of the 'net. They usually appeal to a much younger audience.

I don't think Pokemon cards are a fad, I'd say there are a phase.

Hmm... no, I think the only fad I've ever got into is a dinsoaur one, but that was in primary school.

I think most of us did as children. I was into Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers for a while. Now that I'm older I could not give any less of a fuck what new thing the kids are into. Hannah Montana? Fuck Hannah Montana!

I never got into fads, ever since i came into the U.S ive been doing things in a casual way.

In the country of Georgia though, i created the fad that told kids(about 4 years old at the time) to sneak out of the house, and walk 3 miles down to the city square to hang out.
