Fads don't really get me unless they are trading card based. Bartering with people to get more bang for my nerdy buck is well worth it. Best scalping? (Yu-gi-oh!: Stim-pack Plus a Kuriboh for a thousand year dragon(this being what I got from it))It was awesome.

I started getting into Pokemon as a child because of my curiosity about the cards everyone had. A little later, I got into Yu-Gi-Oh for about the same reason. In all fairness, though, my brother played a pretty big role in both of those, and there was some legitimate interest in both of those.

And for the record, as stupid as I know it is, I still have a place in my heart for Yu-Gi-Oh, for it started a chain of events extending from Pokemon that got me into other anime and manga series, Shonen or not. And even if you hate it, you gotta admit it gave us the abridged series.

I don't think Pokemon cards are a fad, I'd say there are a phase.

Hmm... no, I think the only fad I've ever got into is a dinsoaur one, but that was in primary school.

I don't think that's a fad, that's a fascination pretty much all elementary (excuse me, I'm American) kids have.

I think most of us did as children. I was into Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers for a while. Now that I'm older I could not give any less of a fuck what new thing the kids are into. Hannah Montana? Fuck Hannah Montana!

Ya but Power Rangers and Ninja turtles were at least super cool and crazy awesome! All the stuff nowadays is shit compared to back in the day.
