The one time that I've EVER cheated was on a Latin vocabulary quiz... which I failed anyways. I've been tempted to a few times, but I adamantly refused to even glance over at the tests of those sitting near me. I've earned all of the grades that I've ever earned, and the one time that I compromised my standards I got bitten in the ass for it.

I'd rather get a C that I earned than an A or a B that I got from someone else's hard work.

Really depends on what is considered cheating. Some people considered the fact that I could program my calculator to do some pretty long and complicated math formulas cheating, while others (like my trig teacher) said that if I have the ability to do that, then I'm fair to use it. Regardless, I have stored information in my calculator and used it to look back at during a test.

I do cross cheating in my Trig class, I need a good grade but have trouble grasping some concepts. Same with the other kids at my table. So we trade answers, not especially proud of it, but I tend to learn more that way other then when I actually study and try.

Once, in 10th grade or so. I really liked the teacher, had been doing well and didn't want to disappoint, so I glanced at my notes when he was on the other side of the classroom. I'm sure he knew about it since I'm really not that good at being sneaky, but it made me feel terrible. Haven't done it since.

Of course... and why? Umm because I didn't want to fail? That's really the only reason why you would. School tests were pointless anyway, I feel I learnt more passing my way.

I can only remember one time when I was 13 during a geography test. We had to do 3 tests of remembering maps of the world and the countries, cities, rivers, mountains, etc. and after I failed the first 2 horribly (I got the lowest grade possible, a 1 out of 10) I decided to fuck it and put the map of the area in my pencil wallet (don't know the name for that in English) and afterwards I got, and I hope you are ready for this, a 1,3 >_< I cheated and I could only improve my grade with 3 decimals... Luckily this was the 7th grade so no one really cared.

Nowadays I just don;t cheat, not even when I have ample opportunity to. I don't cheat on test for the same reason I don't cheat on games: This shit will not beat me!

Yep, last year in Latin I cheated a lot, along with the entire class.

We would just put a sheet of answers under the table and the teacher wouldn't notice.

In fact one time she even left the room in the middle of the test, leaving the answers to the test on the desk in the front of the room.

Honestly, what did she expect us to do?

Yeah I did. I have brought in small slips of paper with complex math formulas I couldn't remember myself. Only done this a few times though.

No, I just know most of the answers because my memory is awesome.

We had a test in Computer Engineering that was hilariously easy. It was to do with lego pieces (as we had been building lego robots at the time), and the test had to do with "find the name of the part in the list below, put the letter beside the picture."

The answers were something like A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and so on, for a little while. Then, the questions started repeating. I'm not kidding.

Not recently anymore. Getting caught cheating would have some serious consequences.

Even when I did it was a few times to have some math/physics formulae on my calculator. Although... I often just stored the most general ones I could use to derive the other ones from, so I'd say that just helped my learning.

No, I don't believe I've ever cheated. I've always wanted to challenge myself.

One of my college professors actually gave out stickers to put over questions we thought we got wrong or we couldn't answer and it would negate that question from our score.

I still have all of my stickers in my wallet.

So fuck cheating and slacking. I want to know why my answer is incorrect. I want to learn.

There was this one time when I was taking a biology test that no one in the class was prepared for and me and the person across my table decided to work together. We would very quietly give an answer when either one of us wasn't sure and we didn't get the best grades, but we did a lot better than some of the other kids. Although I would never cheat on a very important test unless I was hopelessly lost.

I've helped people cheat, but I myself didn't have to cheat up until this year. I'm taking college level classes in high school, and the AP Physics is just bustin my chops.
And even with that I didn't need to cheat until a couple of weeks ago. The teacher gives us a pretest with problems similar to the test, and I put all the steps and formulas necessary into my calculator.
Thing is, my teacher saw me looking at them today and didn't say anything.

I have cheated a small amount from time to time; I don't particularly like doing it, but sometimes i feel my grade might be in more danger than my honor is.
The reason I don't like to cheat is because of looking at it from an individual mentality, that if I were to cheat, then i can't expect another person to not cheat, etc, and if a lot of people cheat, it will be taking advantage of the system, and the system will have to strike back with more rules and restrictions, which will suck for everyone.
I think a lot of people here need to start looking at things from a more individual perspective; it seems like for most people here, the general philosophy is "why should i bother doing this? almost everybody will probably do that, which would make doing this pretty pointless." but a community is made up of many individuals, not just 'you' and 'them'. so as an individual, you should try to do your part, and hope that others will do the same; it may seem insignificant, but every significant action is made up of thousands of insignificant actions. presidents are elected because many insignificant votes combine to form a single significant action.

Once I acidentally wrote in the reading time of a chemistry exam, I was so freaked out when I realised that I think it affected my score negatively.

Another time during a supplimentary exam (repeat because you don't pass) I could see another students answers sheets, I was conflicted about looking because I was worried I'd fail the year, but in the end I didn't. But mainly because I realized if they were sitting supps, they probably were as bad if not worse than me.

Yes, but is was a test that practically meant nothing at all.

I've never cheated in a major test and even had the opportunity to do so and get away with it completely but rejected it being the nice guy I am XD.
