I used to when I was a kid, though I wouldn't dare kick the £1000+ machine sitting next to me.

Yes, I'm a firm believer in beating the shit out of my computer when it is being slow/crashing. I swear to god it actually works

Sometimes, but then again all anything needs a one good whack to get it to straighten out. :)

No. But sometimes if it REALLY pisses me off (every other day) I hit my face on my chair.

I've done it so many times that it doesn't hurt anymore :)

ill admit to this. like 9 years ago my cell phone was dropping calls left and right. i said enough is enough. i went out into the garage and found a hammer and proceeded to destroy it with extreme prejudice.
might have been to much but i did feel alot better lol
Nothing like a little anger release in the form of brute molestation of your electric equipment, right? =D

Strangely I have not done this. I've always (perhaps naively) assumed that exerting physical force on electronic equipment would not increase its functionality.

I'm also someone with a very slow temper. It takes a lot more than a computer on the fritz to fire me up.

Yep, loads of times. My old, old one with Windows 2000 I used to slap the monitor all the time too. This one turns off if I do that, though.

I did that to my previous PC. Of course, it was old technology, you know the kind, you can drop it, kick it, it still works under water, but when it's dead there's almost nothing you can do.

This new thing, well, it's new technology. It's so fragile that if I cough on it, it's nearly dead.

no its way too expensive to abuse like that even if it makes me feel better for a short while

i do have to admit that i did put a crack in the table when i was fixing dad's laptop i threw it out and told him never to buy another dell

I've had to play "good cop bad cop" with my old laptop. First I would hit it and then I would try to sweet talk it into turning on.
Neither thing worked.

Why in the hell would you ever hit a several hundred dollar piece of equipment? It's not going to work better with a dent in the case, you know.

So, no, I have never done that, but I also have immense respect for the service my PC provides for me.

Oh yeah, I once kicked a computer into the wall leaving holes in the wall where the peripherals connected at the back. Broke the computer too.

Only once, and since my fist when straight through the top panel and ruined the insides, I wont be doing it again anytime soon.
