Nope.

Although I don't care if people do. I've watched illegal DVD's my friends own though. Terrible fucking quality.

I only ever stream, don't like downloading, waste of GB for something I am more than likely only going to watch once. And I only ever stream stuff that I wouldn't pay to see anyway, last one I can think of was Role Models, no way in hell I was paying to see that, but ill stream it since its free, there not losing any money from it, and if i liked it enough I might have bought it on dvd. I didn't and I won't but the point stands. I started watching Watchmen online, but I wasn't feeling it, so I went to the cinema to see it instead.

I apply the same logic to downloading cds, if I hear a band is good and I want to check them out, am I going to blindly buy one of their cds? No, given my taste in music they probably wouldn't have it in stock anyway. But if I hear they are good will I download their cd, hell yes I will. Has happened to me with a good lot of bands, I remember downloading a few songs by Amon Amarth, and really liked it, I have since bought all their cds legally, seen them live and even bought a tshirt of thiers, all because I was able to download thier songs online. Who says piracy doesn't help sales, I am proof of that sure.

We live in an age where the most pirated movie of all time(The Dark Knight) can make over 1 Billion at the box office, who says piracy hurts the industry.

I watched movies that I was too young to see when I was a kid. Does that count? Otherwise no.

I download them all the time, unless I want to watch them with somebody else. We have Netflix in this house, too, and renting can be a lot faster.

Two quick comments and a question.

1. You're asking people to confess to a federal crime. I only speak for myself but personally...I'm pleading the 5th.

2. Y'all do know that if you stream a movie you *did* download the entire thing, right? You just didn't keep a copy on your HD. Really, the only difference is quality.

And the question: From where are y'all taking about streaming movies for free? I know that the major television networks in the US stream shows (typically) 24 hours after they air. But I know of no movie production companies doing the same thing. Netflix is the only place I can think of that you can stream movies legitimately but you pay a monthly fee for that privilege.

When I was little, we watched a copy of The Empire Strikes Back that someone filmed by sneaking a camera into the theater. Of course, this was back in the days before movies came out regularly on tape. If you wanted to see a movie, you had to either wait for it to be rereleased in the theater or shown on network TV.

I've watched some obscure movies friends have sent me, because they're either independent or out of print. Either way, unattainable normally. Unless you happen to go to Stanford and have access to their film library.

Its funny cause in the poll I clicked "neither" but I've watched a movie illegally. I used to buy LOADSSSSSS of fake dvds on sale in asia ( used to live there) they cost about... $.75 each in U.S dollars. Thats 75 cents folks, and they are same quality as dvds in stores and, here's the kicker, I used to get movies before they came out on dvd in stores.

For example, I had Pineapple Express on dvd about a week after it premiered in theatres. Cant beat that

I don't watch movies period. I still haven't seen the Dark Knight. It's actually a point of personal pride now...So I likely never will.

I do not, nor do I ever intend to. I've chastised my brother for doing so, as well.

...Except for when he saw Dragonball: Evolution that way. The less money that movie makes, the better.
