Poll: Have you ever posted drunk?

I can't say I've ever posted on forums while drunk..

I've definitely posted to Facebook and Twitter, though.

I'm pretty sure I have tried to play games while drunk before, though.

(It didn't end too well. Alcohol makes for poor co-ordination, and poor co-ordination basically means I fail at keeping my character alive.)

I'm sure there's at least 1 person who's read every last one of my posts and as surprising as this is going to sound I don't drink and have therefore never posted drunk. Weird eh? I know I say some really messed up stuff from time-to-time, especially when it comes to threads about our sex lives!

I've posted drunk before but the only real difference was I made a number of typos. I just went back later and cleaned it up. I'm a pretty controlled drunk so I don't really act out all that much.

I did come home from a party at 3am once, very drunk and tried getting into one of the WAOA threads. While my posts were readable, they made no sense and I stopped after a few posts when I basically passed out on the keyboard. More recently I was giving advice on life experience to one of the others in the same thread while pre-drinking for another night out. I don't think he paid it much heed though. Can't imagine why.

I play games drunk more often. Mostly I just get really bad at them, though Whiterun did suffer the unprovoked wrath of my Dragonborn as a result of me being drunk. The only time I intentionally killed innocents in Skyrim.

No I haven't. But once or twice I've remembered very little from a previous night, so who knows?

Honestly I don't drink often, and when I do the only change in my manner/speech is that I get a bit drowsy. I've never understood how drinking can cause people to lose their inhibitions and be really social, sad or aggressive.

Back when I was chronically depressed I would drink Vodka while posting all the time. I'm not sober at the moment, but not drunk. If I'm drinking its always with friends now.

I post drunk fairly often, I think the only difference is that I post in more threads that usually wouldn't interest me. I wake up in the morning, remember posting stuff and think "oh God, what did I post last night?" Check The Escapist, no one pissed off, no warnings or anything. Phew.

I did piss one guy/girl off one night while stupidly drunk, I get really obnoxiously opinionated about music when drunk and I slagged off his/her music taste. I decided that morning not to go onto music threads when drunk again.

It probably won't last.

I do most of my writing intoxicated. I tend to be surprisingly well written when I am too; few spelling mistakes, few grammatical errors, and a lot of excellent drunken ideas. The only thing I've noticed is I use ;'s and ()'s more often when I'm drunk, to the point of ridiculousness in some cases. I'm starting to understand why Mary Stewart used so many of them in the Merlin Trilogy. (Seriously, there are entire pages that you forget are in parentheses until you find the ending one, then you have to go back and figure out where it started and where the original thought left off. It's rather entertaining to read, but can get annoying sometimes.)

Quite a few times yeah. Hell, I think about a third of the posts I made last year were done so whilst intoxicated, though which ones those were probably wouldn't be immediately obvious unless I actually happened to mention it in the post, my ability to type things out coherently with correct spelling and grammar isn't really effected when I'm drunk. But then I don't think this is the kind of things that's easy to extrapolate from text alone. I think anything particularly stupid or ill-advised I may have posted in the past probably has a lot more to do with my emotional state at the time rather than how much alcohol I'd ingested. Basically, I don't need the aid of booze to post something stupid, I'm perfectly capable of doing that whilst sober.

On the other hand I've seen a few threads that were made by people when they were self-admittedly very drunk. They were fun to behold.
