I have given out a few real punches in my life, not for a while though, I'm sure I have a few ahead of me seeing as I am only twenty-one. It's really rare seeing as I'd never punch anyone who hasn't attacked me first or forced me to fight them in some way, people are pretty intimidated by me so it almost never comes to that point. A friend of mine's dad said that he was pretty sure I could fight thirty people and win, sure it is a gross exaggeration but it's a frame of reference none the less.

I got in a few fights in middle school. Other than that, nothing more punching friends in the arm when they're being stupid.

I did last week, actually.
First time in a while and though I'm usually averse to physical violence (I'm more of the type to systematically destroy someone through their psyche) but when I'm threatened with immediate violence, I won't hesitate to retaliate.
So yeah, I've punched people and been in full on fights before.

I punched this guy recently, but before that I hadn't done any kind of violence in long while, I just got mad. I usually don't like it. I've never seriously hurt anyone though, I don't think I'd want to.

Your punch is all arm. You need to put your whole body into it man. XP

Several hundred in a controlled environment, got my black belt at a young age.
Outside of a controlled environment? Once. Purely self defense though. Guy at my old school popped out from around a cornet, grabbed me by the throat, and tried to strangle me. Punched him as hard as I could in the stomach. He dropped like a sack of potatoes and I walked off. Never saw him again. I heard later that he was lying there for a good 15 minutes barely able to breathe.
Managed to talk my way out of a few other fights over the years though.

No, my arms are too weak. The one time I've attacked in self defense was just charging into the guy and knocking him out of the way.

I have a brother. 'nuff said. I have rarely punched anyone, even him, with the intent to harm, and I haven't done so in a long time. Less violently (without the intent to cause serious harm, but not exactly gently), on a semiregular basis, but that doesn't really match up, as it is more sparring than fighting

Never punched anyone. When I get into situations where some people would do it I just grab the person and put him into the ground. No need for punching

Does teleporting behind them and decapitating them with the force of your extended arm count? I mean, it's not technically a punch but I do have to make a fist to do it.

If so, then yes, I have totally punched someone. Punched the crap right outta' their stupid head and thorax. Which is weird because crap usually comes from the abdom...I think I'm getting off track here.

Salad, OUT!

Nope, I tend to talk my way out of shit like that.
Not saying I wouldn't defend myself but I haven't done anything so serious I couldn't explain myself to my fellow drunk.

After reading some of the posts I am going to say that it is interesting to see that many people haven't ever (or at least claim that).

For me:
My friends say that I was in more fights than anyone else in the year group (grade). So I threw a fair few of them. Some were pathetic. Yet others were a bit nastier. It did get more interesting when I learn't how to "clear out" in rugby Union.... Meant they were on the ground within seconds if they weren't prepared for it.

Still Yeah I've thrown a few and recieved some as well. The latest one though was a few months back when I told a guy in my Physics class what I thought of him. And even though the Teacher was about 6 metres away he punched me in the jaw (pathetic his was). Then I said that another guy punched better (one of my mates who is a trained boxer) and he punched me again giving me a black eye. But as he was/is an absolute idiot (and drag on society) he didn't punch with good technique and as a result broke his hand (note this was on my face). So he got suspended for a couple of days. And then had his hand in a cast for the next 6 weeks.

Ahhh.... Being in UNI now.... I get to not have to talk to twats like that (whilst they are trying to explain why a ford is better than a Holden and not understanding that a Audi is superior to both).

Still was fun to troll him once he came back... Esspecially as he didn't even get the joke (or even realise there was one).

Never thrown a punch. I've only threatend people. Got bullied through 7th grade and some of 8th grade. It didn't end because I stood up for myself or something, they just got bored I guess, and quit. The closest I got was nearly shoving a pen through someones hand (Or at least that was the result that I wanted to have), but he caught my hand, and what happen then, I don't remember.

I got in a few fights in middle school and elementary school. Middle school was when any "real" fighting happened (that is, something beyond a 10-second ground-scuffle). Feels good, man.

Yes, my mother. We were sparring. She boxes and decided I would make a good partner. A few minutes later she accidentally missed my target glove and got my in the lip.

A few times while I was still taking Taekwondo, although padding was involved there. The only time I've gone and really tried to hurt someone I can't remember all that clearly. I have a habit for going for really late night walks, which is normally perfectly safe in my neighborhood. Well, one night someone decided to ask for my wallet while I was on one of these walks, and they didn't ask very nicely. The next part I remember is running very fast and hearing loud sobs behind me. Then about an hour later my left hand and right foot were really sore. Kinda wish I knew what happened to the guy.

Hmm can't really remember a time I really did. Besides, my punches are actually surprisingly weak.

I've flown off the handle once or twice, but then I took some classes to help control myself.

Now I'll only resort to violence if I feel that me, or anyone I care about, is in immediate danger.

I hadn't even made it to middle school yet when I took those classes :/

I gave a friend a black eye once. We had been drinking and he was getting on everyones nerves that night and he hit me in the balls and I just went into rage mode. As soon as I did it I was like 'oh fuck, what have I done'. He got up and was ready to brawl, but this dude is my friend and I had no intention of fighting him so I was just like 'wooooah man, calm down calm down'. Poor guy.

Only in sparring. This punches to the body were definetly meant to hurt. not sure if it counts.
