This is The Escapist. I've had ample opportunity to support things no one else likes.

In fact, excessive hate for what I feel are inadequate reasons is a great way to favorably influence me towards something. I was never actually a Nintendo fan until finding this site, for instance.

What a coincidence. That describes 90% of the Escapist, too.

I loved Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos Origins, both RPG games for the Nintendo Gamecube, even though barely anyone has ever played them or even heard of them.

If you can get past sometimes not-so-good voice work, they're still stellar and well-written RPGs, and there are certain plot elements in the first game that are simply...well, let's just say you need to see it for yourself.
Wait...who on earth has been bashing those games? There's a difference between supporting obscure games and supporting unpopular games.

Well, I'm the only communist in my grade, so standing up for something no one else likes is part of my daily routine.

Of Course. Halo 3 is my favorite online shooter. I also love trashy reality television. I also like to bash Obama on the premise that he is as currput as every other president America has ever had.

I'm the only person I know (in person) that wants to get rid of the UK monarchy. That causes a few good discussions.

Enough people seem to hate that.
As am I. Despite the loop-holes in the story, the game is great.

I support Dante's Inferno, I think enough people hate that. Calling it a God of War clone (which I can't blame them), saying it's a disgrace to the story (I take it as a game just based in Dante Alighieri's Hell) and several other things. Hell has never looked so awesome in a game.

I have for Perfect Dark Zero. I personally loved the game, but everyone else seems to hate it.

I thought Mirrors edge was an awesome game I didn't encounter any motion sickness and thought it was a breath of fresh air to the usual first person games and I enjoy reading the Naruto manga.

Yup, really love them jRPG's, really do. But the main characters are like freakin' transeksuals most of the time (especially since the 128-bit era...) or apathic/emo-like, for example Cloud (FF VII), Squall (FF VIII) and "Insert Name" (Persona 3).

Thank God for skirt chasers like Zidane (FF IX) and bad-asses like Yuri (Shadow Hearts).

"*big long high and mighty speech* ...And so shall I bring upon the end of the world!"
'Before you do, can I ask of one thing?'
"...What is it, mortal?"
'I wish you'd shove it, YOU know where!!!'

I laughed, hell yeah I did.
The epic, it is great.

I don't, neither does my brother. Or my Cousin for that matter. Or my colleague...

Haven't really supported anything that no one else liked, because I believe it is impossible. There's always one freak out there who's crazy enough to share your vision, no matter what.
I do have my share of supporting something not many others do...

I defend the existence of Yoshida Kazumi in Shakugan No Shana even though at least 95% of the stuff said about her is about how she should die a fiery and painful death. I swear shippers are crazy. And I still support Shana/Yuji *gasp*

I go for the unobvios answer, i try to enlighten people.

Like the Red VS Blue episode where they were wondering where to go, Simons say im 95 pecent sure its thataway. Grif says to go in the othe 5 percent.

So what I mean is I always look into the small chances.

Sonic's still enjoyable. I'm pretty sure if we stopped comparing it to the originals, they wouldn't seem.
I also don't mind the Wii at all, but I don't remember ever actively defending it.

Slight edit due to not reading the title properly. Need to stop posting whilst tired.

I do this so often people should nickname me "The Devil's Advocate".

If there's another side I'll represent it.

Everyone seems to think a 1st person game on First World War would be shite so I joined this forum for the express purpose of arguing against that. Limited purpose on here really. It alleviates boredom while being ill.
A first person game set in WW1 would be difficult (no auto fire weapons...so ai well!!), but I have to agree, it sounds like a good thing...a break from Nazis and terrorists and aliens.
and get well soon.
