Ive have done it on occassion. But usually I only get accused of trolling when im not trolling. Wich is wierd. People throw around the word troll too much. People just call you troll for not having the same opinion or if you arent agreeing with what they are saying.
I totally agree. What is the full definition of troll( in the context of the internet) again?

I got banned on a chatango chatroom that I was randomly invited to, falsely, just because people from my regular place were pointing out how insecure a guy was who was in a relaitonshipw tiha girl over the internet. He was jealous of any other presences that have a penis within the chat, so everyone got banned. By that time everyone from my usual place was invited and I got one extra perosn to go there to troll and fed words into anothers mouth, while negotiating with the couple through PM for unbanning.

They never unbanned me and a few days after that troll, they broke up.

FEAR ME, I HAVE SUCCEEDED IN TROLLING WHILEST BANNED!
But, I'm not gunna troll here :p

I don't troll on the internet. I troll in real life. I actually trolled one of my English teachers in college for a semester.

Thanks to <a href=http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=troll>Urban Dictionary we learn a troll is one who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

Although I voted no... I can safetly say that I will have probably done it without intentionally meaning to. But so far I haven;t purposefully trolled... I think.

I'm a user of 4chan (especially that infamous board you've all heard about), not trolling is impossible. It's just trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls.

Not the once. I've been called a troll in the past, but largely by ultraconservatives, simply for putting forward a Revolutionary Trotskyist viewpoint. Which as far as I'm aware is an expression of my political beliefs (occasionally), and not trolling. It wasn't a thread I started, I was just airing an alternative view of the topic.

I've done that too. Some guy on my irc server started a channel and wanted some help setting it up so he let me be op temporarily in it to help set it up. While I was op, I set myself +e (meaning that I was exempt from bans). After I was done, I removed my op status and he said thanks.

Five minutes later I started trolling. He tried banning me, but I just joined again. He banned me again, and I joined again. He didn't know anything about +e so it was crazy.

Then he got the network admins involved. I promptly stopped.

I like to believe that there are different levels of trolls.

The Epic Troll (successful troll is successful) is the troll who posts a comment and succeeds in getting two or more people fighting amongst each other and then backs off to eat his popcorn and watch the fur fly.

The Troll (trololololol) is the troll who posts a comment and succeeds in getting everyone else mad at him.

The Obvious Troll (unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful) is the troll who posts a comment and is just completely ignored, save by those pointing out his failed attempt at trolling.

Also, trolling is the act of going into a conversation, event, or what have you and intentionally saying something to rile up the masses and cause anger. Unintentional flame baiting is not trolling. Proper trolling is a art and should only be practiced by professionals.

Yup, trolled once, mostly because the person was hilariously ignorant and was dumbfoundingly stubborn.

I've given it a try before. Didn't work out well. Haven't done it again. Seems in order to be a troll, you have to abandon all logic... I couldn't manage that.

Not really. All that is really required is that you go where you know your opinion is different than the opinion held and state the opposition in plain view :p

I've indulged in some trolling before, but its nothing particularly venomous like routing people to websites that might interest the local authorities, or host malware.

Mostly this, actually. How can I make something logical seem farcical, or vice-versa?

I troll from time to time, but its generally an accident, I usually am trying to challenge someone who expressed a point that angered me or something of the sort, standard internet rage you know, and at some point I stop being reasonable and just turn into a hairy ass bridge dweller :p.
