Wow. At the time of voting, over 50% of those who've voted are in my camp: We don't own Diablo 3.

It'll be funny to me if that holds up.

Civ 5 Gods and Kings came out today, that basically ends my Diablo 3 gameplay time.

It was okay, but mostly fairly bland and boring.

The loot system is poorly constructed (boring 1 dimensional), the story was absolutely abysmal, and the always on DRM was laggy ALL the time.

The AH made the game more about farming gold to buy loot rather than find your own loot, mostly because the loot is so stale that it basically requires it to have 3 attributes or be basically useless, specially once you hit "end game" Inferno Difficulty, it doesn't help that playing for hours and hours and hours usually doesn't provide even a SINGLE upgrade, since for some reason the highest difficulty that REQUIRES you to be level 60, commonly drops loot in the mid-50's range of power.

I have found easily 200x more pieces of junk vendor trash as I did upgrades for myself on my Monks adventure from 1 to 60. If I never used the AH, I wouldn't have even made it to Inferno yet, I'd probably still be in Nightmare, because nothing drops, ever, its always junk.

Good riddance to Auction House Tycoon 3, I won't miss you.

Still playing. Act 2 Inferno with my Monk, and a few alts here and there. Oh and I've made £15 on the RMAH already, with some good drops ready to sell. If I can make up the cost of the game I'll be laughing.

Just curious, would give me an indication on how long this diablo 3 fad is going to last.
What is the fad, exactly, when the vast majority of posts concerning the game are bitter and leading like this?

Still playing on and off, but got my Demon Hunter though the main story once...and really don't feel an overwhelming urge to grind it out to level 60. I did make a "hardcore" character, which makes for a tension-filled experience, but doubt I'll make it through the whole story.

The group I played D2 with has since moved on, so without that sense of community I doubt I'll spend too much more time with it. Kinda sad...

Yeah, I'm still having fun with it. There are a few nitpicky things I could complain about, but overall I'm enjoying it.

I'm still playing, bought it about a week after launch and am currently playing a barb through inferno. Love your "fad" bit...very cute, impossible that such a game could actually have a long running fanbase or anything it all must be a fad lol.

Its an ARPG, they are all repetitive ..."woahhhh really???", "no way bro!". "Your saying a genre based around killing monsters and obtaining better and better loot is repetitive?", "you don't say!".

I played the game in Hardcore mode and over the course of about a week and a half I took a Monk to the end of Act 3 Nightmare before being killed by some enemy that took control from me. I hadn't used AH at all during that play through. I rolled up another Monk and began again, this time using the AH. After reaching the mid point of Act 1 Nightmare I lost interest and moved onto other things. The games is just too repetitive for me to enjoy I think. Perhaps if there was the promise of something great to be found I would continue, but as it stands I've only found 2 legendary items and they were both junk (even though one was Batman's utility belt).

I was going to buy it up until about a month or so before release. The inane lack of single player, a real money auction house in game and my growing disinterest in anything Blizzard touches set my dial from interested to completely apathetic. When the game finally comes out, the servers blow up, cheaters abuse the system and accounts are hacked left, right and center--the exact issues we were told would be prevented by the use of a server. Then, to top it all off, I hear from nine out of ten people that the game is nothing more than a meh snooze fest of mediocrity.

In all, it's one big failure I'm glad to have avoided.

Still playing it since release.

I've made 100E thus far from RMAH and I'll keep going on doing that to save up as much as possible. At least the option of making some money is there by just playing and having a bit of luck as well.

It's a horrible grind I can tell you that for a fact, but when here the medium wage salaries are 200E+ then it's good to stock up some for "dark days".

I'll be honest, it got kinda stale after my first playthrough. I love Diablo, but crawling my way through multiple times, I need a break first. I will occasionally throw it in for kicks, but I've larely moved on. give it a few months, I'll be able to play through anew.

I find it interesting that the majority of people who voted in the poll don't actually own Diablo 3. I AM SUCH A PERSON!

I didn't buy it because why would I could essentially buy the same game in Torchlight 2 except it's 1/4th of the price and has more functionality and features that D3.

I bought the game on launch day. I played, pretty much on a daily basis, up until about a week ago.

I've got a level 60 Demon Hunter and a level 60 Monk, both of which I've gotten through Inferno, and I have the rest of the classes at least up to level 20. I think Witch Doctor is the only one I still haven't beaten the game on Normal with just yet.

Anyway... yeah... the game got stale. I found that as the difficulty increases, your options in terms of ability/rune combinations kinda declines if you still want to be effective. So while you can play around with whatever the hell strikes your fancy on Normal/Nightmare, things get a hell of a lot more cookie-cutter once you hit Hell/Inferno. And there's the fact that the game really doesn't vary enough from playthrough to playthrough. I was really looking forward to the randomly generated events making a big difference in breaking the monotony, but there really just aren't enough of them.

Then there's the loot. The loot was a huge motivator for me in Diablo 2. If I wanted to perfect my character, I had to actually hunt down the best gear. Now I can get all the best gear without even having to play the character since I can just buy everything in the gold auction house with little to no hassle (I haven't logged in at all since the RMAH went live).

I dunno. The game's really just not holding my interest nearly as well as the previous Diablo games. So I ended up going back to give Skyrim a second chance, since I didn't particularly care for it all that much... but it bothers me to own a game that I haven't beaten.

Still playing, but not that much and it's been reducing and with week or two long breaks here and there. Got a 40 level Barbarian, 20ish Witch Doctor, and a 15ish Demon Hunter, so that's not much.

I like the game, but after hearing friends talking about the challenges on Inferno difficulty, it has began to feel a bit like "what's the point" and aimless. Then again it manages to be interesting. But I'm not enjoying the playing as much as I'd like to.
