I'm a conservative so I'm regularly ripped on whilst on campus but I've never had the 'victim mentality' to actually be trodden down.
This.
I'm only in high school, but my school is extremely liberal. It wouldn't be so bad if a lot of the students and teachers didn't go on about how we should be open minded and tolerant, yet when I state my opinion, I get torn apart. I'm not exactly looking forward to college.
well, that's probably because your opinions tend to be the intolerant and discriminating ones in the first place. people are discriminating against you for being a discriminator, and i personally see nothing wrong with that, considering that the so-called "values" of conservatives are ruining the country and are preventing it from achieving its true potential of greatness.

I'm a Mormon. And I spent two years as a missionary. Can definitely say I saw a lot of discrimination there. Also, just look at the anti-Mormon anti-Prop 8 commercial from California 3 years ago.
prop 8 is discriminatory, so i don't feel bad for you being discriminated based on that AT ALL!

Several times. There were dozens and dozens of scholarships that I couldn't apply for because I'm a white male.

Im a white male, possibly the most discriminated demographic there is. By default I am racist, evil, a potential rapist, can't dance, prejudiced, uneducated, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and patriotic.

My attitude is to let those who discriminate you believe whatever the hell they want. In my experience, any attempt to educate those who believe I am not one of those things has been met with increased hostility. I say if someone calls me a Racist, Evil, Rhythmless Rapist, I will pat them lightly on the head and congratulate them for being so smart.
Pretty much this. Have you ever actually done the whole head-patting thing? I did it once and I thought the guy was about to stroke out he was so pissed.
I indentify with these guys alot I have had people on many occasions I dont get a opinion simply because I am not a minority as if I cannot understand when sombody has been wronged because of my skin or my sex or various other things. Not to mention that going to highschool in a catholic school and not being catholic any longer I didn't qualify for a single scholership because I wasnt a a racial minority nor was I female or catholic.

well, I'm a metalhead... that's it... I got long black hair, wear black clothes (why? just because I like them). and I wasn't allowed into a disco/club...whatever you want to call it, because I looked... how I look. basically, because I have long hair, and wear black clothes I'm not allowed in. Oh yeah, wasn't even because of the rules of that place, just because the bouncer doesn't like "my kind" as he said it.
might not be as bad as a lot of the others, but still, it makes no sense. even with long hair, if I perhaps wore 'normal' clothes (which the bouncer would define as 'normal') I might've actually gotten in.
I'm not allowed, because there's a different colour cloth on my body... well whoop-dee-frickin'-doo.

I'm sorry, have we met? Do you even know what my views are?
You can take your opinion and fold it until it's all sharp corners.

those are negative stereotypes, not racial discriminations. Big difference. But why on earth would you say that about yourself anyways?

It would be nice to get away from them, but I believe there are most likely going to ALWAYS be some form of prejudices and stereotypes in society, even if not racially motivated. And we have to learn to try to not use them as a social crutch when at all possible. (Besides, those aren't necessarily indicative of the Caucasian American Male, some of those are regional stereotypes, and political stereotypes. You can't just rub yourself down with sh*t and expect us to try to feel sorry for you). No offense.

Sincerely,
a black guy who doesn't play basketball.

My family is made up of Cuban refugees so there has always been pressure on me and those of us that were born in the U.S to succeed in order to honor the lives our parents left behind. I grew up in the poorest county in Michigan next to a sugar factory with only a barley functional library and no internet until I was 14.

That said I'm now just a short time away from 21, I have a bachelors degree in Accounting, I?m fluent in 4 languages, I'm specialized in U.S GAAP and iGAAP, and I passed my CPA exam on my first go. In the U.S I?m a young, heavily sought after employee with a perfect employment track record. I'm currently working with an international auditing firm based in Detroit and I have to travel regularly to clients in Europe and Asia.

In Europe, however, I may as well be high school dropout. At my first job in the UK the client asked my assistant if I could speak proper English and even after I informed him that it was actually my primary language he continued to direct his speech towards my aid. Being a Catholic certainly doesn't help.

In my experience my fellow Americans tend to stereotype more but that?s usually where it ends. In Europe an entire crowd of people can see that I obviously break the homogeny and either exclude me from their conversation believing I can't understand them or, what I believe is far worse, pity me.

Pity is the ultimate insult to everything I've worked for my entire life and is an elitist quality virtually unique to Europe and liberal circles in the U.S. "Look at that poor latino boy," they think, "he's trying so hard to be like us." When met with hateful talk I can verbally trash anybody and in the rare instance of physical hate I'm more than capable of defending myself but pity is by far the most twisted and disgusting assault I've ever had to deal with. In most cases I can keep my feelings to myself and conduct myself in a profesional manner but to date I've refused to see 4 clients because eventually ignoring the problem fails and action is needed. I reported two of them to their superiors and verbally dealt with the other two, I was reprimanded for those last two but it needed saying.

Say what you will about the U.S but at least we?re forward about it. I bring efficiency and cost savings plans to the table, over here I?m an asset, overseas I'm a curiosity.

For the past five years, I've been getting beaten up, shouted down, ignored by teachers/faculty, and generally viciously swarmed by people I don't even know, just because I'm not a Christian.
The swarm is 300+ strangers, by the way.
It seriously sucks. They would burn me as a witch if they could.
And in addition, since everyone who isn't Christian is obviously a satanic homogay, I get that flavor of hate, too.
That is indeed sad and tragic. What you're peers are sir, are not christians, but simple hypoctrites who go under the guise as agents of God to justify their view on society.
I as a Christian weep for you and I honestly feel sorry that people of my same faith still do such things. I pray that things will look up.
The only upside to those kind of people is that when I find someone that actually follows the principles of their faith, I am absolutely elated. Well, the elation, and that I don't have such a fear of confrontation any more. Now I have false confidence enough to smooth talk my way out of any kind of jam. Or punch a bloke right in his jerk face for rude remarks.
It's seriously nice, though, to see that I am not, in fact alone in my plight.

I'm regularly discriminated against by my lifestyle. Btw, I'm 16, black, male.

So yeah, I'm the quiet/keeps to himself guy in class, and because I don't talk to many people or go out to parties, people call me anti-social. I'm not, I just don't like alot of people arround me and I don't like what alot of them do. Why would I go to a party to destroy my liver and get high? Because it's fun? Pricks.

Many people are scarred that I might shoot up the school, so whenever they make fun of me,IN MY FACE AT THAT, they say again and again to not shoot up the school. Like I would waste bullets on you pricks just because you make fun of the way I talk/walk/do anything.

I've never had a girlfriend before, or even now, so some people think that I'm gay. With all the hours I clocked up watching lesbian pron, there's no way I'm gay. I just feel like I don't need a woman right now. Some people make the argument that I can have sex and finally loose my virginity. One: Women are more than sex toys, they need more than sex. Two: If I wanted to loose my virginity so badly, I would have lost it to one of the school whores. This doesn't make me gay or uninterested in girls, I'm just simply waiting till I'm ready for a relationship.

I'm an atheist. I never learn to avoid posting in or reading the YouTube comments section. What do you think?

I'm gay so...not really. People treat me like a human being, I get asked a lot of questions about being gay and people are always telling me "I'm okay with you being gay" (I don't ask nor care if they are) but people don't treat me differently.

Being an athiest, polyamorous, butch, pansexual, male-to-female transsexual, with liberal views, as well as being part of several minorities (Native Canadian, Ukrainian) Alongside being fat, I've been discriminated against in every form you've mentioned, often in more than one way. Do I win?
I like you already. You do win. Then again, you haven't probably been mocked for having a religious view in the first place, which is all I've ever had to suffer, people hatin' because I believe in god etc. Considering everything else which makes me strange I'm rather surprised.

Yes, I have a lisp and I have been teased since for the longest time by people acting like they do not know what I am saying or impersonating me.
Awww, lisps are cute! I don't see why anyone would pick on them.
Well thanks for making me feel better.
