What is wrong with you?!
We like fun games regardless of the console it's on. Cool your jets, man.
Meh, I just have yet to find something actually "fun" on the Wii. I got it, played it for about two months, and then went back to Gamecube and PS2.
Might I ask what you played?

Has everyone who judges it played more than just Wii Sports?
Yes, I have bought so many games just hoping hoping A good game would come out. I have played maybe one game that was good, and that was metroid prime. My recommendation to anyone who wants to waste money on a wii: please, just bash your head against the wall instead, It will be more fun, and you won't have as much of a headache.
Hm. Depending on your tastes, I think the Wii has plenty of decent games - just about 8x the amount of things you wouldn't wanna play. It has a similar "shitty-to-good" ratio as the Gamecube.

A friend of mine has both a Wii and a 360 and of course he plays the 360 more because of the better online capability and he prefers first person shooters and such, but he enjoyed No More Heroes in a hilarious manner, MadWorld (again in a silly hilarious manner), didn't exactly like Metroid Prime 3 (which I find surprising since I loved the first two), and surprisingly enjoyed Zakk and Wiki.

I have played Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Excite Truck, Twilight Princess. Everything for hours.

I expected Sports would be intuitive, but it was anything but. The input scheme was not responsive, nothing like doing the things IRL, and it was also not as clear as regular videogame controls. The result is that you have to learn a new, additional layer of obfuscation which didn't exist previously. It's hard to imagine something more frustrating to a gamer than obfuscated, sloppy controls. I'm afraid a lot of the "newcomer" attraction to the console might be based on that the controls turn a lot of the game into luck, meaning the player is not responsible for their win or loss.

Overall verdict: meh. None of the games I played even come close to warranting buying the console. I'd like to try Trauma Center, Metroid Prime 3, SMG and maybe some titles region-locked to the Japanese Wii, but that's about it. For someone who hasn't played them on previous consoles, Okami and RE4 would be good buys. I hear Okami and RE4 got good ports, but that's hardly relevant to someone who has played them already.

Twilight Princess (It was average)
Metroid Prime 3 (fun for about the 45 minutes it lasted, no replay value)
Wii Sports (I lost faith in Nintendo during this game)
Rayman Raving Rabbids (uglurglurgle is the only word I can use to describe this)
Alrighty, it seems that you have only played the ealy Wii titles. There are some pretty cool ones out right now and coming soon that may hold your interest a little more. For example:
Madworld
No More Heroes
De Blob
Smash Bros. Brawl
Klonoa
Trauma Center: New Blood
The Conduit
Mario Galaxy
Zack and Wiki
Wii Sports Resort (I know you didn't like the first, but this is much better than the first. Plus, you get Motion+, which is pretty cool)

And stuff coming up that you might want to look out for:
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
The Grinder
Muramasa: Demon Blade
Red Steel 2 (a good reason to get the Motion+ from Resort)
Galaxy 2
Dead Space: Extraction
New Super Mario Bros. Wii

The content for the console has gotten much better over these last couple of years. Give it more time, and developers will make cooler games for it.

I have and I like it.
Resident Evil's a lot more fun with wiggle-waggle aiming.
Then there's the more "Nintendoey" games like Brawl and Mario Kart that I shouldn't enjoy but do ayway.

I don't own one, but I have played on a few.

I'm sort of leaning towards getting one (when funds allow) purely for the new Zelda game, but I'll certainly get a GC controller and use it as a Gamecube too (Eternal Darkness <3). I'd possibly consider stuff like Guitar Hero for it, but I don't know. Something I've got a slight interest in though!

I own one. It's not great but it's not like the spawn of Satan like a lot of people here make it. It has its moments and the virtual console is great but good luck finding games for it.

I have. I can't stand it. Every time I play any game on one it makes me angry.

I played on Mario Kart for like one and a half races round my friends house. I didn't get a good feel for anything to do with it at all so based on that I'd be more inclined to answer no even though I technically have.

Played SSBB very briefly at a friends house. I asked him if he had a normal controller, he didn't, I went home. Never really liked Super Smash Brothers anyway. It's annoying in fighting games when the guy who ALWAYS beat everyone else is being a real dickhead about it, but in SSB, with Pichachu and all of the other retards with cutesie-wutsie voices... It's just too much for me to handle if I want to stay civilized.

I own one, and I'm very sad that Nintendo won't stop the whole casual gaming bollucks.
They're making too much money to stop now. But put it this way, it could just be them selling out (slightly) to fund something super awesome for the next gaming generation. They we're totally destroyed last gen by the PS2 and Xbox, they may just be building revenue. Think of what they could do with that power sometime!

That's a nice little spin on things I like to imagine...
I like your thinking, and really hope that this is the method behind the casual gaming madness

Yes, a friend o mine has one. When I visit him we often play a couple of games of SSBB or Mario Kart Wii. it usually lasts only an hour or so.
