I've started but haven't finished five books already. I get the overall plot down on paper in outline form, even get several chapters written, but I can't seem to pull it all together into anything I could actually publish. If I ever do manage to finish one of my partially written books, I'll probably have to post them on one of those free web hosting websites or Alibris or something as I can't afford to go jump through the money it takes to jump through the hoops of traditional publishing. As much as I'd love to have one of my stories in hard cover on the shelves to stores like Barnes and Nobel, it'll probably never happen.

I'm writing a crossover of medieval flashbacks and modern-day settings of a monestry in a forest, with ties to a witch burning in the 1500's. I know how I want to continue the next chapter, but I'm not sure how to start said chapter. X(
I know what you mean. I've hit that wall a few times myself. It's like you have all these great ideas but can't seem to get them out on paper in a way that 'works' for a written book. Maybe I should just tell my stories out loud into a digital recorder and let them go unwritten like people used to do before writing was invented. I get so wrapped up in trying to write my ideas in just the right way that I get frustrated and lose the creative urge that got me started in the first place.
