Personally, I'd prefer Hell over complete non existence. In Hell, atleast there would be some kind of life after death and we don't really know for sure what Hell is like. A Nothingness afterlife just scares me shitless even more than Hell does. You won't even know your dead after you die. You're just gone. Completely erased from existence. If you get shot in the head suddenly, you won't even know that it happened. Just...blank.

Of course, this is all in my opinion...

Edit: Crap, this should be in off topic discussion. Any chance an admin could move this?

"Your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness"

Dumbledore quotes aside, I do feel sorry for you. Your inability with dealing with death is so bad that you'd choose eternal torment instead? Immortality isn't worth that. Besides, just how much fear of death you suffer or will suffer in life for that matter?

Nothingness is in many ways better than any paradise anyway. You just gotta learn to accept that one day you'll be utterly gone.

Eternal suffering or the lack of any existence or feeling whatsoever?

Though call.

Can I choose to go to Purgatory?

I'd rather not exist than have an existence consisting of only suffering..

Eternal nothingness. It's like sleep, only there's no asshole alarm to wake you up and tell you to go to school. (And nothing else.)

So, burn in agony for all eternity and damnation without relief vs. nothing at all, which I can't even see/feel/sense/interact with or any other form of awareness. Nr. 2 for me... Why would I want to suffer when there is an option?

I'd choose nothingness, im used to it.

My idea of hell would be a room full of people playing nothing but Navyfield and Supreme COmmander while watching the American Pie trilogy over and over again. Now thats frightening

Bananas do sound good right about now, I'm gonna go get one.

As for the Topic at hand, are we picking which we would rather to exist, or which we would rather to end up in after death?

Well, nonexistence doesn't exist, because it's the lack of existence...
Uh, got confused there. So... I'd choose nonexistence (which iz reality blah blah religion r teh evulz and hal0 r teh l3w7z) because... well you wouldn't care since you wouldn't be. I guess that's better than torment.
Why would you want eternal torment, anyway?
Dying is one bad thing, but pain is far worse. Especially because it hurts.

Well if I don't exist then I have no knowledge of what I left behind. So I'll go with nothingness.
