Hey! So I'm in a little pickle. I'm looking for a new Sci-Fi RPG to play for PC. Something I can get off Steam. I'll list the things I've played, what I like and what I don't like.
Things I've Played:
-Mass Effect 1-3
-Fallout 1-New Vegas
-SWTOR
-Star Trek Online
-EVE Online
-The Elder Scrolls (all of them even though they aren't sci-fi)
-Dead Space
Things I Like:
-Mass Effect Series- Space age, decent amount of exploration, amazing story line/characters, decent amount of quests/missions,great amount of abilities/level up opportunity, customizability of multiple things. (Things I don't like: It was designed more for console gaming I feel... I think rpg's are way better on PC, but not Mass Effect)
-Fallout Series- You can explore out the wazoo, TONS of quests/missions, Decent amount of different types of weapons. (Things I don't like: limited different armors, everything breaks!, limited ability/level up opportunity)
-Star Trek Online/SWTOR- Stylized, great abilities/level up opportunity, grind and explore out the wazoo (Dislike: MMORPG (I like mmorpgs, but I already have enough of them)so a lack of story line (too much grinding based).
-The Elder Scrolls- Same as Fallout... lots of good but it's not sci-fi (WHICH IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR RIGHT NOW)
I've been searching for quite some time now... there just hasn't really been much recently... everything seems to be going FPS on console. Someone needs to really develop a game that mixes Mass Effect and Fallout. If you were to add the positive from both those games into a love child... BOOM! THE RPG WORLD WOULD KNEEL! Ive seen a lot of chatter about the Deux Ex series... didn't really seem to grab my attention.. Watched some gameplay, not interested. I'm looking for something that was developed past 2005 if you catch my drift. I do enjoy the beauty of a game... and system requirements are NOT a problem
Thanks for any and all help. Please be respectful to each other as well as me. We're all nerds here
