Well, its that time again.
I've got enough extra money to buy one extra before I have to save for the big three games I want this Fall. (FYI they're Section 8, H3:ODST, and Modern Warfare 2: Prestige Edition. These three are not up for debate.) Now, there are four things I want, and they all cost just about the same. They are:
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Left 4 Dead 2
Borderlands
The Cymbal Expansion Kit for Rock Band 2
The simple issue is I'm not sure what I'll get the most enjoyment out of. For B:AA, I played the demo and loved it. The reviews say the demo doesn't even come close to the awesomeness of the full game. I haven't played a stealth action game worth my time since Double Agent.
Left 4 Dead 2 seems like an obivous choice too. I loved the original L4D,and I'm pretty sure the new one will be just as good and fun. But I'm also worried I'll get tired of just playing the campaign over and since I can't deal (and don't want to) deal with the stupidity that pervaded the MP of the first L4D.
Borderlands looks awesome, but since I haven't played a demo or anything like that, and its main features seem kind of gimmicky or useless (Yay. Thousands/Millions of weapons. Only 20 of which will be useful, but hey, they're there.), and the co-op seems to be the other big draw....which will suck for me, having a friends list of 23 people, none of which will get the game.
The Cymbals Kit for RB2 looks like the most likely at this point. I like drums in RB2 (though I tend to play Guitar more), and the kit looks like it could make it alot more fun to play. In addition there are some of my few friends on my floor who love playing the drums (and are quit good at it) who would absolutely cream themselves at the sight my RB2 drums with the Cymbals Kit.
So I leave it your hands Escaptist. You get to spend my money. Pick wisely - and only from the choices above.
