I can't accurately convey my thoughts in the answers given so I'll just do this.

Freshman year: Very fun
1st half of sophomore year: Great/Wonderful at times
2nd half of sophomore year: started getting bad but not awful
Junior year: awful
Senior year: My recovery year. It was pretty good.

High School wasn't everything I wanted it to be but looking back I enjoyed it. College is going much, MUCH better.

I voted for average bad because I have a small group of friends and I'm not exactly the kid everyone picks on but I do get a share of the insults.

Fairly shit really. I got fairly good grades but got really disillusioned with the whole thing towards the end.

The teachers were apathetic and lavished all their attention on the "troubled kids" (bullies) or their own pet favourites. We got generally treated like cattle. And being adolescent didn't help either.

Would I ever put myself through that again? Hell no.

Highschool could have been extreamly boring for me had it not been for one fact. My best friend (who I had know since we were both 4) were the most charismatic (I swear, if you walked into a shopping mall with him it would not take more then ten steps before he meets somebody who he knows) fellow in the entire school. Through him I got a lot of extra friends and got around quite a bit.

Furthermore I got trough highschool with great grades without even trying, so all in all it was a great time.

I had an awful experience.
The school work was mind numbing, literally nothing was a challenge >_>

Socially.. eh I didn't do too bad, I was in the popular group of kids so I didn't really get picked on once I moved school, but in my first school it was hell cause of my aspergers, and we all know how bullies pounce on anything that's different lol

That and I got suspended constantly cause I always got the blame for reacting to the antagonising from the bullies... I wonder if that guy still has a broken nose from me smacking him in the head with a laptop from the 90s

Hell, which I am experiencing right now. I'm not bullied or anything, people are just indifferent, it's kind of lonely for me. Plus I'm in the IB program which itself is hell. I was up to 12 (as opposed to my usual 10:30) studying for a math assignment.

The other kids were dicks, I think I must have been one of the only kids with a decent upbringing because most of the other kids were chavs or wannabee gangsters. You know the kids
that you can see being in prison or drug dealing in 2years, well for some that's redudent because some were already drug dealing.
This, so much. We had a lot of druggies, a dealer, chavs and "moshers" in our year. I have since met a wannabee gangster in my A level college, and even most of the people in the group he hangs around with (unfortunately the same group I talk to) dislike him. (Hell, when I first met his girl friend, who was quite nice, she complained to me about him.) But secondary school had a larger ratio of cunts to people who you could actually expect to keep a certain level of politeness. We had a rapist in our year, and there was also the rumor of the drug dealer guy having been moved to our school due to minor sexual assault. Ours was basically the last chance saloon for people who got kicked out of the places most teachers would never seek employment at. So while a lot of us merely chose to be there for simplicity's sake, every year we'd get a couple of disreputable wankers added into the mix.

I remember once during a summer the drug dealer and this one guy (who changes from chav to metal head/mosher to gangster, etc depending on what's popular with this particular group of people) were on the big stone bridge that leads up to the village, and were dropping stones on the ducks in the river. This fairly large rock smashed this duck on the head and it was sitting there in the shallows, twitching with its head on the freakiest angle, and they were just laughing at it. Honestly, I couldn't control myself... I grabbed the offending guy, pushed him so he was teetering over the edge of the bridge and started making threats.

Best experience of my life.

I had friends in pretty much every social group and so I was never given a hard time. Lots of fond memories despite the fact that life was busier than it is now.

I put average-bad. I aced all the tests without studying (except that one semester I tried Italian) and got on well enough with a handful of my peers. For the most part though my grades were below my potential, I was really angry what from the hormone changes within my teenage body (coupled with doubts and other mental things), lots of failed relationships, one encounter that made me question weather or not I was a rapist, and a relationship towards the end that was just about as exciting as porridge. I didn't come out of my shell until my senior year when I joined the theater and key clubs where I apparently surprised people with the acting skills they claim I have.

I wouldn't do it again. Part of why I dropped out of college was how similar it was to HS. The main difference though was the price-tag attached to the whole college thing.

High school (or Senior school if your English) for me was: Average (good)

I wasn't bullied, sure I had the occasional bit of fun poked at me but who gets through school without that?

I had a tight circle of around 10 people who I would consider "friends" although we've drifted now and I stay in contact with about 3 of them. I had plenty of other "associates" within school who I'd occasionally hang around with.

I was neither popular or un-popular but I had my contacts both ends of the scale, in all Senior school was pretty easy for me, didn't struggle with any classes and I never studied (was always too busy with Counter-Strike and Neverwinter Nights, until WoW came out).

High School was mostly shit. Teachers were fine mostly, it was the people around me. I hated all of them. I'm at a private college now. Filled with pompous arseholes.

^ Seriously... What is this fuckery? ^
