Still in school, so I have no idea what its like to not walk into the building for more than 3 months at a time.

You may feel sad leaving, but a bit into college/real life (whichever you choose), you'll realize high school sucked, and you'll be glad it's over. That's always how it goes.

Don't miss it.

As far as relationships:

Even in close-knit groups; you're all going to move somewhere, or work somewhere else, make new friends. Leave college friends (maybe a few times if you're ambitious I suppose), change jobs a few times, change interest groups once or twice. Tons of people come and go in life, get used to it. That isn't to say you shouldn't value the relationships you have, or that some might not be over a lifetime, but be willing to accept the fact that most of them are very short term.

That said, I have three very good friends from high school that I stay in touch with. We were each in the others' wedding parties, and keep in touch over LIVE and roadtrips to each other's places from time to time.

High school was a miserable experience for me because pretty much everyone there was either a gorilla crossed with a lemon.
You know what they say: When life gives you lemons, cut them in half, squeeze the juice out of
them, and sell it for 10 cents in front of your house.

Life only gets better after high school. At least, my life has. It's not that I didn't enjoy high school (well, I didn't enjoy all of it of course, but it was still a fun time), but my world seemed so much smaller back then, and I was still such a child in many ways.

Just keep in touch with your mates so you don't lose that aspect of school life. I've let those contacts wither away over time (different priorities and all), and now I kinda regret that I did.

I left literally singing and dancing and I haven't looked back or wasted one second thinking about it.

It gets quite funny when I meet people who apparently knew me and I have no idea who they are.

I graduated from high school a year ago. I was so glad to be done with that place, high school was hell from me. The only good side to it was the friends I made, and I still keep in regular contact with most of them.

I haven't graduated yet, and I can not FUCKING wait to get out of this hellhole that people call "High School". The people in it are decent at best and I can only consider a handful of my "friends" friends. Furthermore, half the teachers are asshats, or just don't know how to teach and school in general feels like prison (I read somewhere that minimum security prisoners have more rights than the average high school student).

If it weren't for my parents' paranoid "You'll never make it without graduating" mindset, I'd be dropping out the minute I turn sixteen.

But no, I have to endure 2 (maybe more) years of bullshit.

Other than that, life's good :D

Oh fuck no, high school was pretty much the least productive and most boring time of my life.

46.7% of this test sampling haven't graduated yet as of the time of this writing, a bit interesting considering the average age of a gamer is 35. Of course this is probably because the title of this thread attracts said group more-so than others.

I'm going to high school in September. Will I miss junior high? Only because I've been in the same building five days a week for three years.
My only friend is moving away in the summer, so, however glad I am to get away from the awful-ness that was junior high, I'm scared shitless to go to high school. If you can't find your classes when you're with your friend, you look cool. If you can't find your classes and you are a loner, you are an outcast.
I will only miss junior high because of the consistancy it brought me. The people were awful, a lot of the learning was non-existent, and the younger kids smelled disgusting.
I also won't miss who I was at the beginning of junior high... ugh.
Some things are meant to be left in the dark days of single digit grades.
