I've watched the anime from the start, and read the manga(which has annoyingly been on hiatus for most of the year, new issue this month I heard) and one of the funniest things I've ever seen! It is the most graphic and shamelessly, blatantly graphic shows I've watched in a long time, but it's also really good, the plot rolls along nicely, just staying on the right side of plausible, and it's even inspired it's own meme, thanks to episode 9 or 10(I forget which, if you've seen it, you know what I mean!)!
Oh yeah, one last warning for the guys. If you have a girlfriend/wife, DO NOT let her catch you watching it! Don't watch it in front of her, don't mention it to her, don't speak to your friends about it in front of her, You will only wake up with your balls missing.

It's alright the action is great the story is above average but god damn the ecchi is just way to god damn much. It becomes utterly annoying and don't even get me started on the super size breast that almost all the main character have (Am looking at you Nurse) which deters me from watching it completely

I read the manga in one go, but I didn't think too much of it. I've heard from a couple different people about how "amazing" the show is, but I'm not ecstatic. I probably won't watch it any time soon, not as long as I have Lucky Star :3

I like it, But i feel its sexualized to point of just being silly. We do not need to see a flash of underwear or a cleavage shot every time a girl does something. They have absolutely no reason for running around semi-naked half the time, I would not mind so much if it was just once or twice but it seems to happen all the time, The combination of that and the deus ex machina tastic " Hey guys lets go to my friends house, Oh Shit they have a huge impenetrable fortress for a house, a giant humvee and a billion guns, oh and it sure is lucky we have a gun expert with us " kind of break my immersion in the story, But the show is still reasonably entertaining so I'll probably keep watching it.

You're complaining that an anime about zombies isn't realistic...

I saw the first episode and it was alright... maybe it gets better later but it seemed like it was trying to be a bit too... erotic... which ironically turned me off on the show.

OMG...episode 8 image 4, that is one of the most hilarious and amazing things I've ever seen in gif format. Boob jiggle bullet time dodge. That there just pushed watching this show up higher on my priority list.

I tried watching the show only got about 10 minutes in though. I'm all for fan service but DAMN! Usually fan service comes into effect when the viewer has a connection to the character but the show skips that step and gets straight to the point. I may try watching it again someday but as I am now the massive amount of fan service really drove me away.

Note: After noticing the pics someone posted about the show I may have to get my friends together and we can all have a good laugh.

Here's my opinion of this show:
Good characters (except for the nurse, who I hate)
Decent story
Nice art
Killer action
Fountains of blood
Great zombies
...and then all of that gets ruined by the fanservice.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm in no way opposed to fanservice. Shows like Ranma 1/2 have fanservice in almost every episode, and games like Bayonetta have tons too.

The difference between why I like it there and not here is tone and context. In Bayonetta, it fits the tone, i.e. completely over-the-top action and oversexualization to the point of comedy. In Ranma 1/2, it makes sense in the context, since a story about a boy who's also a girl would naturally have alot of content like that.

But here it's simply distracting. Here I am, trying to enjoy a serious story about "what would YOU do in the zombie outbreak", plus a young man's struggle with love and survival, and all this fanservice just keeps popping up, ruining any actual point the series may have been making.

Watching this anime is like watching Dawn of the Dead, but every minute or so someone changes the channel to a porno... but keeps the audio on the zombie flick. It's just a strange disconnect between what we're SUPPOSED to be seeing, and what we ARE seeing.

It's like sitting in a movie theater watching 28 Days Later, and your girlfriend won't stop flashing you her tits. Sure, you like it at first, but eventually, you'll just want to focus on the movie, and you begin to wish she'd stop distracting you.

This anime really had alot of potential to me, but decided to go for the lowest common denominator, and squandered it.

I like it, but I can't watch it with anyone- there are far too many insane breast scenes (that is, every scene).
Still, I like the characters well enough (even though they all fall into their respective archetypes with an audible 'klunk')
