He's Boba, the Fett.
He bounty hunts, for Jabba the Hutt...
To finance his 'vette.

((TL;DR at end of wall of text.))

Okay, initial fan-wanking aside...

Now, one of the reasons I thought about buying The Force Unleashed 2, was because the developers said my main man, Boba Fett, was going to play a role in it. The fact that a Fett gets some screen-time made me grin so much like an idiot, I forgot math for two whole days. Unfortunately, as I found out by researching the game, (My funds for that time were happily drained by Fable 3.) Fett gets a pretty tiny role, which made me a bit peeved.

Now, yes, I am indeed a fanboy and would pay a great deal of money for a night alone with Jeremy Bulloch or Temuera Morrison. However, I believe the character is better than this and I'm getting tired of just peeks of him to draw the cult-crowd, or portraying him as that little bastard who over-acted in the movie. It might be a massive fanboy wank to make a game on Fett, but at least that's more respectable, at least in my eyes, then tempting some fans to fork out soem money just so he can menacingly cross a cutscene at some point. (Not that he doesn't look badass doing this anyway...)

Yes, I know Boba's daddy, Jango, got his feature on the PS2/GC, but you know what? The game sold really well, and I've seen it top a lot of people's "Best Star Wars Games List" on here, including my own. But we need something newer, something shiny. Something that modern game-engines can sink their teeth into. While I know that showing enigmatic characters as much as possible is usually a bad thing to do, (Case and point, Predator movies.) I think a game, following Boba Fett on an adventure (Either before, during, or after the movies.) would do really well, and would be enjoyed by many fans. Hell, I'd enjoy some attention thrown merely at the Mandalorians as a whole, instead of those lightsaber wielding fuck-wads.

So, what do you guys think of the notion of Boba Fett receiving his own game, and how do you think it could be done?

TL;DR: OP is a Boba Fett fanboy, Boba Fett should get a game of his own instead of being used as product placement.

And one more piece of fan-wankage below:

Hell yeah...

Sure he is an iconic bad ass, but what can you do with a guy with guns and a jet pack that is new to the Star Wars franchise? I guess you might be able to do an Assassins Creed spoof off of it but Fett does not exactly seem like the sneaky kind of guy. Normal I would be all over this idea, but with the current quality of games Lucas Arts is producing, I'm going to have to say no.

I loved Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (the Jango Fett game) and for ages afterwards I had high hopes that they would make a sequel to it in which you play as Boba, most likely between episodes 2 - 5 at some point. But, alas, they have not...

The closest you're gonna get to playing Boba is Star Wars: Bounty Hunters and even then you're playing as the original Fett. He was the template, so why would Boba be any better?

How much would you love to sit down with Karen Travis? I'm a Fett fanboy too but I love all the Mandos. There's Rebublic Commando too which is like being with 3 other Fetts. But it'd be cool to play through him tracking down the clones that know how to slow down the aging process.

I play as Boba in Battlefront 2, mainly because he is the only hero for the empire in pretty much all the maps. ¬¬

To be honest...while I think Karen Traviss' contributions to the Mandalorian culture (especially by developing their language) are staggeringly awesome, I think her actual writing is bad. Very bad. Being that one guy who has primarily read just about every EU comic and novel there is and as soon as they come out, I have a lot to compare her to, and I find her lacking in many departments, especially pacing.

Though, sitting down with someone who actually has a part of power, no matter how meager it might actually be, would be cool. And hey, I might just give her a good idea for a story, being a writer myself. ;]

For one, Boba is noted for being a lot smarter than his dad, and while damn good in combat, his old man was noted as being more up-front with how he went with business. Boba's style can add to more gameplay depth, different ways to do things, and generally, he actually has a lot more toys to play with in a much more morally ambiguous time. As many have said in pop-culture magazines, etc, he is Star Wars' Clint Eastwood.

Not to mention I definitely enjoy the more 'ragged' look compared to Jango's pristine blue and silver suit.

As I previously said, Boba was actually being much more stealthy and sneaky than his dad. Not saying he didn't ever go in full-frontal, in fact, most of his plans did end up that way. He just had much more care for tactical analysis and planning.

Is he Altair-level sneaky? No, I wouldn't say so, but it would be easy to include the option of sticking to the shadows plausible.

Okay, before I rebuttal, you are aware that you could have quoted us all in one post and did it all at once before quadruple posting correct?

Anyways, I don't think know would be a good time to be asking for a Star Wars game from Lucas Arts, given how the disappointment their latest games have become and the fact that Lucas himself wants to re-release the series, Star Wars itself is going beyond that threshold where it stopped being an icon and is instead trying its best to milk the franchise for its worth. I can guarantee you now that if a game is made, it will be short and be riddled with problems. Believe me, the best way to keep Boba Fett awesome would either be to port him off to a different company to have the game made (Like the possible case with Star Wars:Battlefield 3 and Knights of the Republic) or just hope they don't make a game about him.

Because his era is better.
Play as Boba during the original trilogy, or the twenty years in between the trilogies.

Boba was on Imperial payroll, he did a lot of nasty things to a lot of imperial enemies.
And as it's been stated, Boba's a badass, He's long overdue for a balls to the wall action game with him as the protagonist.

I do, I just wanted to make you all feel special...and avoid another massive wall of text...

And I DO see where you're coming from about the quality of Lucas Art's recent titles. In fact, in my opening post, part of the cop outs from The Force Unleashed 2 actually sparked this thread. And while I hope TOR is damn good, because I am a little worried, I have to hope that at least maybe an updated version of Bounty Hunter is made. I'm tired of fooling around on Reach for my jetpack kicks, my friend, I really am. xD

I haven't read the comics but sitting behind me is half the NJO series and all the Legacy of the force books. The rest I borrowed from the library. I've read damn near all of them and at one point could give you a 7000 year history of star wars from memory. I was well and truly a nerd. And yes her writing is kinda lacking but the stories themselves are pretty good. And have you writen anything I might have heard of?

Even though the Fett man goes out like a *****, yes he house watch that scene from Return of the Jedi, a game with Fett would be gold. It could be a shit game but if you can play as Boba then WIN.
Fett survives the Sarlaac. He fucking blows himself out of it and then drags himself across the desert to salvation (or something like that)
