Wow...I didn't think hoarders would be in the majority, much less massively dominating.
Anyway, I trade rather frequently. Not always, but I have a clear idea of which games I will play again. I keep those. What's fun is when I come out even or ahead with certain games (I know I recently bought one off of Amazon and recieved a $20 promotional credit. Then I sold the game after I was done with it for $40. So I came out even there).
Maybe it's because I actually finish 90% of all games I play, which is apparently an unusual quality for gamers today (at least according to studies).
And maybe it's because I hate clutter, so I often get rid of things I know I won't use. Whether it's passing on books after I've read them, selling/donating clothes I know I won't wear again, or selling back games I'm done with, I know I spend less overall than someone who keeps everything even when they won't use it again. You may not get much back by selling one thing, but make it a regular thing and your lifestyle just became a lot less expensive.
