Poll: Hoarder or Trader?

wow, no middle ground, these are 2 rather extreme views. Why not keep lots of things but trade a lot too?

I trade in the games I think I won't want to play again (and often regret it very soon), and I keep the games I know for a fact that I'll play them again, and the ones I got from the bargain bin they'd give me like 3$ for. Unless they really, really suck.

I very, very, very rarely trade or sell a game because I know that in 6 months, I'll be wishing I hadn't.

I don't buy games I won't enjoy. If I enjoy a game I'll most certainly want to replay it at some point. It just makes sense to keep them, because finding them again later is difficult if they're not just on my shelf where I last left them.

I like having a library of games I like, otherwise I trade if
a. the game still has value relative to what I paid for it,
b. there is something I want to trade it for an
c. I can be arsed with messing about on ebay. I don't trade in store any more because the values offered by EB Games in Australia are typically a pittance compared to their outrageous retail markup. I can usually save what they are offering by buying online.

I never trade in my games. I love to collect them and I'm always going back and playing my older games over and over again.

Depends on the game: I've traded in some really REALLY shitty games in the past, but i always hang onto the ones i absolutely adored.

In other words: If i absolutely loathed the game i played, i trade it in. If not, i keep it.

I've never traded in a game, and I doubt I ever will. What if I suddenly decide I want to play one of them again only to find out it was one I traded in? Besides, I'm extremely careful with what games I buy, so I don't often end up disappointed. At least not disappointed enough to warrant getting rid of the game.

i do the same thing too. I keep all of my games in case i want to play them again at some point and im also really picky about what i buy.

No, I once did, but now I won't. I consider them trophies, well the ones I managed to finish anyway. Well.. the ones that still come one some sort of physical medium that is.

I either sell mine on ebay or give them to charity to sell. There's very few games worth playing over and over again.

I don't bother. I'll give them away or even donate them, but selling them to places like Gamestop just rubs me the wrong way, since they'll pay me 10-15% the going new price, but sell the game used for 85-90%. I'm not that interested in helping them make a profit at my expense.

I've sold some directly to other players over eBay and Amazon Marketplace, but after the sites take their cut, I usually don't get enough out of it to make it worth the hassle.

i don't trade in games. the only place i know to trade games in to is gamestop, and they always give shit prices for trading in games.

I practically decorate my entire appartment with my games so I need plenty of them ^_^

and I kind of like to look at my games and pretty much see my own life history, I played games with my dad before I was even capable of forming a comprehendable memory (first memory is from when I was 3) and I kept those games as well, old sega megadrive games, old floppies for Sim City and Prince of Persia... ah the glorious rush of nostalgia ^_^

so nah, never been much for trade ins, the only real threat towards my collection has always been my family, be it a sister or a cat, those were the real dangers...
I had once placed my favourite game on a shelf, but somehow it had fallen down and our dear cat really don't like when there is stuff on the floor so she dragged it to the litter box and peed on it...

but no longer a problem, now 8 years later I have a new copy and my own appartment so my collection is safe ^_^

I used to, but I usually regretted it afterwards. The only games I don't regret trading are the ones I traded to get Arkham Asylum.

Also, today I might be trading in Street Fighter 4 for Super Street Fighter 4, but I have a feeling that won't be a regrettable decision.

I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I don't sell second hand games. I've got a Wii since recently, but I don't plan to trade in any games I buy for it. I like having them, and popping them in again at some point later.

Of course I do, I pay at most 200 sek for a game and then trade it in for around 300 sek, I make a profit from playing games!
