Sorry, could you just put a bit more explanation into your OP, so people don't get confused? I had to read some of the comments to understand what the thread was about. :/

OT: I do both depending on what I'm typing. The 'pecking' when I'm copying from something (because I'm not that great at touch typing yet), and some of the home row when I type normally. =P

I start on the Home row, but afterwards, my fingers move to whatever keys are needed. Right now, my fingers are on awet njo;. I've hit Q with my right hand, and P with my left hand. Wherever the fingers are needed, is where I end up. (By the way, ended up with zwef huip, and my right thumb on period.)

hybrid. mostly homerow, but i learned to type on my own so i usually just use what is most comfortable for me.

I just got that game (your avatar) today. I have yet to start it, but I want to save a great deal of it for the flight I am soon to go on.

OT: Home Row. Since I started using the interwebs, I became able to type effectively, unless I'm tired.
Unfortunately, Type To Learn 3 was not an effective tutor, nor was the site my dad found to help me.
I learned by myself.

What's homerow explain it for me please. Am I just being an idiot

Home row is the basic position for typing, with fingers on the
ASDF on the left, and JKL; on the right.
I am assuming you use the QWERTY setup for your keyboard, though.

Finger peck is just typing one key at a time, without really using all your fingers.
