Shit, your dorm room is comparable to a hotel room? I'm actually jealous. i shared a room that was smaller than my old bed room, with some random room mate that i never liked.

I don't think i've ever used the word room so many times in one post.

(also, sorry for getting off topic)

DS and PC. DS because it's portable and takes up minimal space in my hotel, er, dorm room, and my PC, because, well, it's my laptop for school. It can run a few games, and I make it do so often.

PS3, Wii, N64, PS2, PC. My dorm is pimped out after hard work for some money. It's well decorated in Nerd.

My PC, it was originally meant to do some stuff that required hardcore processing, and then it just so happened to be able to be very good at processing games as well

360. I got it because that's what my friends were getting. Two of my other room mates have 360s too so we all brought our games and I brought my system. My other room mate as a PS3 and a Wii. It annoys me because he won't buy any good games for his PS3. He goes and buys all these crappy gundum and naruto games. It makes me sad. I think I may have convinced him to by God of War III though.

I don't live on campus, but I have a Xbox 360, DS, and a PC. I bought the Xbox because my original Xbox broke and decided to upgrade. The DS I bought a long time ago (still have the bulky blue brick) and the PC I bought mainly to play TF2, DoW 2, and Dragon Age.

I only own a PC, I could get a 360 or PS3 or Wii but I'm in a halls of residence this year and I don't want to risk it dissapearing... I might get another console when I go flatting though

I have a PC, mostly because I tend to be more of a PC gamer as well as the fact that I do most of my programming on my own PC.

Proud 360 owner.

Software(familiar series, etc.)
Online capabilities(XBL)
Hardware(familiarity with predecessor, if that means anything to anyone)

Despite my not being in college, I think I can still post because my sister is.

She has a PS2 with her in college because it was technically a gift to both of us a long time ago and she decided that she wanted to be somewhat of a gamer now, so she took it off with her. It makes me sad that I can't play the fun games that I want on it anymore...
its fairly cheap nowadays, you should be able to find one at a gamestop or ebay for a very fair amount
Perhaps... but then I'd have to pay for a console that I already own. I don't care to do that, so I continue on without playing God of War 2, or Shadow of the Colossus(Already beat it 5+ times, just so fun to play) or Ico (Impossible to find T_T)

The results are stacking up nicely. I am also going to be interviewing people on my campus to get a more direct line of data.

i'm in grad school. I have a 360.

I got that instead of a ps3 because a friend and i talked it over and wanted to both get the same system. I can't really recall what the selling point finally was, but we got 360's. I think it had something to do with liking the way the online stuff was done a bit better on the xbox.

Heh, but I do have to share it with someone else, and I get to share the bathroom with the room next to mine. Talk about your lack of privacy.

And you can't delete posts.

Ah, Expository Writing, I miss those days. Couple points of interest: Your Prof will come down hard on you if this is used as your "primary" source. Second, this survey would work well to complement another SOURCE, but in no way will it prove causality if that's what you're going for. Keep us posted on how your paper goes; there are many of us that would be happy to help if need be.

Good luck :)

I have my pc here and my gamecube (although I'm borrowing games & controller from friend). I need my pc (laptop) to function easily at College, so that's why I have that, as for the gamecube, I have it because my friend had it and I brought mine because mine worked better. He had master quest which I have never beaten and for whatever reason feel compelled to beat before I age.

I have a PC and PS2, but I use the PC mostly. Infact, I only pull out the PS2 occasionally.

Only got a PC here. Its sealed, chained to the radiator and cooped up like Hannibal Lecter. I put too much money into this thing for some retard to take a screwdriver to my case and steal my RAM/Graphics cards/Powersupply etc.

Haha, thanks. Yes, it may surprise some people that I am actually a very thorough writer. I am using this data along with a lot of research and at least 2 other (identical) surveys. The one on campus will be fun to bug random strangers.

Also, my writing class is Expository Writing, but it is under the scope of Pop Culture. We've already discussed Memes. Win!

Oddly enough (I am not being sexist here) my campus survey found that 94% of Wii owners on campus are female and 88% of 360 owners on campus are male. The PS3 was more split at 36% female.
