I've rode a horse a couple of times when I was younger, and I was surprisingly non-sucky at it.
I wouldn't trust myself to be able to ride one now though.

You would be surprised at how little they actually cost. Buildings and land are by far the most expensive things you need.Ironic Pirate said:Yes, but never owned any (expensive). I was decent, except for making it speed up/slow down.

As long as the saddle and stirrups are properly adjusted there should be no problems.Wadders said:Ahh cool, I have some friends who went on a school trip to Iceland and rode the Icelandic horses, they really enjoyed it. They're really cute too
Not sure if it would be easy to find one to ride in Britain though :\
Also; I know it's a silly question, but are horses kinda the same as bikes? Where you have to have one the proper size for you to be able to control it and be comfortable on it? 'Cos I'm a pretty tall guy, and as you said Icelandic horses seem to be fairly small.
I have a fair amount of land, but some people on my road have them, and if I asked they would let me ride them, so I never really felt any desire to own one.manaman said:You would be surprised at how little they actually cost. I have four horses, but very, very rarely do I ride any of them. Two of them are not exactly over the hill or anything for a horse, but getting on in years. Most of the time it's the current girlfriend that just has to ride a horse. So I get shoes, groom a couple all up. Saddle them and then she quits never to ride again after 30 minutes.
