MOH didnt "barely" sell, it sold a few million, it just didnt get anywhere near the levels they wanted, and the reason for that was in many peoples opinions it was a rubbishy clone of COD (although to be fair i enjoyed the single player of MOH more than black ops)tomtom94 said:Based on the fact that Medal of Honor barely sold despite all the furore AND EA's marketing efforts I'm going to say it's unlikely. I acknowledge the possibility but I just think most people would go "Why? Why the villain? I just want to play".
Why do I think that? I just think most people are looking to try and play the all-American hero and if they aren't given that opportunity they will look elsewhere. I also think trying to beat COD is a bit of a fruitless exercise at the minute because of the brand identity it has.
I think the only way an fps will be able to become as popular than COD is if it does something different, like perhaps not playing as the US, otherwise new fps games will be forever compared with COD, and probably wont be able to beat it.
