Well that's a pretty stupidly set up tier system.

Anyway, I'm definitely in tier 1. I'm pretty diverse in my music tastes.

I suppose I'm tier 2, I can enjoy all kinds of music but I listen to Metal and many subgenres 90% of the time.

I object to the 1st tier because they're woefully inadequate. Since I probably fall about halfway between 1st and 2nd tier, 2nd.

I tend to find only a few songs from any given artist that I want to listen to more than once as to me music is something that's on while I'm concentrating on other stuff. My primary playlist, "creatively" title 'Compilation', has 104 songs in it currently with no artist representing more than 6 songs. This is drawn from a 'Library' playlist of ~3400 songs.

I find it hard to imagine many people would vote other than Tier 1. Most of the other tiers sound less like people enjoying music and more like people identifying with a sub-culture.

Personally I'll listen to just about anything. My MP3 collection is quite eclectic. But that said, my favorite genre is Japanese reggae. Probably not for the quality of the music and more because it reminds me of a lifestyle I really enjoyed.
Japanese reggae? You sir have my interest. Care to share any groups/songs?

OT: By your definition OP I'm a tier 1. I am willing to listen to any song from any genre and I do regularly listen to 4 of the groups up in the list.

Woo crazy mp3 lists!

I'm Tier 1, but I gravitate more towards subgenres in rock and electronic. I listen to pop and rap generally, along with others.

Yeah same thing I was thinking, going by that system almost everybody is going to go into tier 1, even if you only listen to the radio it tends to show a few genres like Country, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock and even Indie Rock these days, so it's going to be hard not to be on tier 1.

Classical, Romance Era, Rock, Rap, Metal, Electronic, VGM, 70's, 80's, 90's. It would probably be easier to say the only kinds of music I WILL not listen to is Jazz and Country.

Tier 1. Just like basically every single human being out there.

Everyone is willing to listen to other genres, it happens all the time when you go outside. Unless you carry ear-plugs wherever you go you're obviously willing to listen to other genres.

If you've ever played more than one game with the sound on then you're definitely in tier 1, that's different genres you're willing to listen to right there.

Ever watched a movie with sound? You're also in tier 1, almost every single movie features soundtracks from different genres and you were willing to listen to them.

Woefully inadequate tier system.

Well, considering I have no idea what half of those actually entail (for instance where does Ska fall under: Reggae or Alternative?), I consider myself a Tier 1. I listen to wide variety of stuff, from Johnny Cash to Bathory and everything in between. :p

Definitely a Tier 1 and quite proud lol. With the exception of certain sub sub genre's I can find something in every form of music I like. Personally I think everyone could be a tier one if they were open enough about it. You don't need to force yourself to listen to all genre's but if you know how to look and ur well aware of your taste, you can find what you like about the genre's you do listen to in genre's you don't. (I say this because ignorant people love to pigeon hole genre's like Hip hop and Country just because they hear some of it they claim they don't like the genre. The main genre's are very diverse and if you don't like some aspect of the genre, there are almost always exceptions.)

Tier 1. Without doubt.

I was brought up listening to a wide range of music from classical, opera, traditional Japanese, electronica, religious and rock

Since then my tastes have also branched into alternate, blues, jazz, some rap/hip hop, metal and J-Pop.

Also, I'd just like to express my disdain for anyone who says, "I like all music except rap and country."
Alright. I like all music except rap and dubstep.

Now those are something I can groove to. Thank you for introducing me to some new music. For some reason I never would have thought of Japanese reggae groups, no idea why, and now I have a few to listen to and explore!
