My first name is a Dominic, which is Latin, and my last is a derivative of an Old Irish Clan name. I sincerely doubt that anyone else in that world shares my name.

So this research has confirmed that more common names are in fact more common than less common names??

My first name is fairly common. There's a least 3 others with my name in my year at college. Surname, is none too common but there are others and if you include an alternate/misspelling of it the number doubles.

On a global scale I don't know how common Nathan is, but I can tell you I graduated with 6 of them in a class of about ~80 people.

Just did the Wolframalpha thing. 27th most common name for births. Currently 108th most common name for the current US population. It didn't recognize my last name, so I guess it would be rarer.

Brandon, sorta common, but not too common. What is freaky though, is that is a neighboring town there is another kid, born in the same month as me (October) who has my same exact first and last name

Luke, it's not too common, at least not in the US. I've only met one other person with that name, another named Lukas, but that's different.

Very rare in the UK to the degree I've never met someone else named Stefan. But a lot more common in Eastern Europe etc.

As of 2010, my given name was ranked 157 in the US.

I live in the US and live with a Stefan, tbh. :)
He's also a II, as he shares the full name with his father. *quite likes the name, actually*

DANIEL is the #12 most common male first name
0.974% of males in the US are named DANIEL.
Around 1193150 US males are named DANIEL!

Good thing I don't live in US :p

My name is probably common in Italy but not as common over here in South Africa. My name is Alessandro and surname is Spadaccino.

"Tylar"? I'm pretty sure that's very rare.

I mean, there's plenty of "Tyler"s in this world, but I've never encountered another "Tylar" before.
I'm a Tyler. Never heard of it being spelled Tylar. Still pronounced the same, though?

I would've thought that the first name Riley wasn't too uncommon, I know of only 1 other person with that name and he's one of my buddies from highschool so we always greet each other by saying "Hi, Riley" or just finishing our sentences by saying our name (and yes I know that it's lame)

My first name used to be extremely rare, now it's just 'very' (Kai). My full name? Now that's going to be completely unique :p

I wouldn't call it rare, because it's not exactly a "wild and crazy" name, but I don't often meet people named Linus.
